Black Flags of Islam
Portents of the Imam al-Mahdi, the Moslems' prophesied deliverer of Jerusalem?
|
from Diane Alden
Afghanistan has special significance to the world of militant Islam. It was once called Khurasan, along with parts of Iran and Pakistan. Muhammad said: "If you see the black flags coming from Khurasan, join that army, even if you have to crawl over ice, for that is the army of the Imam al-Mahdi and no one can stop that army until it reaches Jerusalem." That is one reason Osama bin Laden chose it as his base, or al-Qaida.

Will Osama Appear In Pakistan?
Be vigilant for jihadin carrying black flags.

On the wall behind this black-masked Hamas terrorist is a poster of Osama bin Laden. Note the two black flags around the poster.
Anyone have a translation of the Arabic on the poster, or know just which black flags these are?

MY CHILD IS NOT HIS PR SOLDIER TO BE BLOWN UP TO BITS FOR HIS PR PEACE! You may want to be careful saying that. When I said something similar I was flamed for hours as heartless and unchristian. The children are not our enemy, but they are being taught and trained by those that are.I believe 12 is the age of "adulthood" for boys there

the forces of Mordor mainly concerned themselves with battle, not gratuitous slaughter of civilians. Bin Laden would have been expelled even from there. (I should know)
Still grinding that axe, Gorthaur?
Such a bitter disembodied evil spirit.
You used to have such a sweet complexion, too.

"He started a dangerous game of chess and we will take out every rook, every Knight and checkmate him to his death." He's gambling that we won't. He knows that like cancer, his breed of islam will ultimately prevail unless every last cell is destroyed. He's betting that we won't have the stomach for what that takes.
Frankly, when I look around me, and listen to the suicidal delusions that insist that we show "sensitivity" to "issues" -- which roughly translates into going easy on the enemy -- I have to wonder if perhaps the old bastard is onto something.

Exellent post you have put together here.
In my opinion the Black Flags are not yet flying because they are waiting to rally more support. They want a victory of some type in Afganistan. Such will require at least some US/British forces on the ground for them to over run then use the Pakistan turning to OBL as the move that coincides with unfurling actual Black flags. Symbolically to many Muslims the simple fact of war is enough to presume the Black Flags.

They want a victory of some type in Afganistan.Perhaps, but that would be dicey, and hard to schedule in any event.
How about this scenario (with a nod to Travis McGee):
Pass out a lot of Black Flags at Pakistan's end of the Khyber Pass, stage enormous rallies, and then have bin Laden dramatically appear in front of the adoring hordes with the simultaneous detonation of WMDs in America, Europe, and elsewhere.
"If you see the black flags coming from Khurasan,
join that army, even if you have to crawl over ice,
for that is the army of the Imam al-Mahdi
and no one can stop that army until it reaches Jerusalem."
It would be the loudest call to battle in History.
Millions would answer.

All I can say is that when looking at both the Jewish Israelis and Muslim Arabs, it's quite evident by their behavior which group has experienced the effects of true genocide and has, as a consequence, exercised extreme restraint in dealing with the excesses of the other. It's also evident that the other group in its solipsistic approach to reality doesn't have a clue about what it all really means. One can only hope that Western leaders will have the courage to erect the necessary rocks against which these people can smash their shins often enough to realize that there's a reality exterior to and not dependent upon their own expectations, ie., to help an infantile race grow up and realize that the world does not spin around the axis of their (or around their idea of Allah's) will.

Black flag indeed. The black flag of the black hearted. The black flag of Islamic anarchy, chaos, barbarism.

A most interesting read. Usama bin Laden indeed believes that he is the Mahadi, but, he cannot proclaim that himself. The Quran states that anyone who claims to be the Mahdi, is nothing but an imposter. bin Laden, in carefully orchestrating the psychology of his appearances and statemetns is fostering the public perception that he is indeed the Mahadi and that the forces of the black flag should rally to his cause. But, again, it has to be popular exultation and not his own proclaimations. The quandry for Usama bin Laden is that the spritual leader of the Taliban, Mullah Omar, cannot proclaim him Mahadi, becuase he is connected to bin Laden by marriage. Watch for a cleric, high ranking and respected in either the Sunni or Shiite sects to be the one to make the proclaimation. If a Wahabbi attempt it, it will just be drowned out as propaganda. It will have to come from a muslim cleric that is a "one-off" from the fighting. Only then will the black flags come out in force.
Forewarned is forarmed.

What you have would work most especially if there was a substantial faction within ISI and Pakistani military that was ready to execute a coup d'etat. Within an hour or two OBL has some nuclear weapons and a relatively modern air force at his disposal. I for one would not wish to see US F-18's going up against Pakistani F-16's.
