The Baton Rouge Police Department confirmed at least 10 people are hurt, including two in critical condition, following a shooting at the Mall of Louisiana.
According to Chief TJ Morse, there is no threat to the public at this time.
The shooting happened around 1:22 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, near the food court area.
Morse said it is not a random act of violence, but rather two groups of people who got into an argument inside the food court and started shooting at each other.
“Unfortunately, there were some innocent people that were in the area that might have also caught some rounds,” said Morse.
Police said the shooter is still at large.
EMS confirmed a total of 6 victims have been taken to the hospital. Some other victims went to the hospital by personal cars.
Police said some victims are undergoing surgery.

“...two groups of people who got into an argument inside the food court and started shooting at each other.”
Gee, I wonder who it could be?......................

“started shooting at each other...Police said the shooter is still at large.”
So, one or more?
Uh huh.
I am sorry. I hate no one. But I watch On Patrol Live each Friday and Saturday nights. Baton Rouge is one of the police departments they cover. 95% of the calls they handle involve African Americans. The whites are what we here in the South commonly call White Trash, homeless-unhoused drunks and druggies.
Was it them Yogi?
Do we have to ask?
Gangs of Baton Rouge... I can wait at least 100 years for that movie to come out.
Where did they think they were, Chuck E Cheese?
Here is the reason we can’t have nice things. In the culture of some groups they love the feel of destruction. The more destruction the better.
One party of society builds and produces and another does nothing but tear things down and gleefully destroy what the other has built.
I took my sister to an annex of Tampa General Hospital. It was a beautiful building. I’ve been in classified facilities with less security. The cops patrolled constantly. As one disappeared around a corner, another appeared at the far end. I asked a nurse why the security was so tight. She said there had been a gang shooting and the injured from both gangs were brought in and the gang members filled the waiting room. Another gunfight broke out. Then, there had been a number of incidents where gunmen had come in, taken hostages and demanded drugs. Nurses had been hurt. I had seen none of this in the news.
They would not give my sister narcotics despite the fact she was in excruciating pain. There were signs on nearly every wall saying there were no narcotics in the building. Finally, after a week in pain, they allowed her an inadequate dose and acted like it had to be authorized by the President himself.
1) According to Chief TJ Morse, there is no threat to the public at this time.
And
2) The shooter is still at large.
Must be a lot of people who don’t feel that safe. What if, like some of the recent shooters who got away, he carjacks someone? They may or may not decide to kill the car driver as when pondering if the driver will appear in court someday as a witness.
It might have been militant Buddhists...........
