Coming Soon From Bill Gates's Lab of Horrors: FRANKENBUTTER
https://pjmedia.com/ ^ | October 01, 2025 | Stephen Green

Posted on 10/01/2025 9:11:17 AM PDT by bitt

Hey, kids — it's trivia time. But don't sweat today's question because it's an easy one.

What do you get when you take carbon dioxide captured from the atmosphere, hydrogen from water split by renewable energy, and glycerol, then use proprietary catalysts in high-pressure bubble reactors to synthesize hydrocarbon chains, oxidize them into fatty acids, esterify them into triglycerides that mimic the molecular structure of a common fat, and finally blend and crystallize the result, before extruding it into four-ounce sticks?

Something very much but not exactly like butter!

See, I told you this was an easy one.

But don't all rush to the store at once. Backed by investments from Bill Gates's Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Savor's Frankenbutter (not its actual name) won't reach grocery store shelves until 2027. That's assuming that construction, permitting, and commissioning dates don't slip due to supply chain disruptions for the necessary specialized reactors and catalysts.

Mmm... creamy specialized reactors and catalysts.

Or, as I not-so-gently put it on X, you could just eat some freakin' butter from a cow.

(I did not use "freakin'" on X, where I go to vent my considerable spleen.)

Seriously, if Savor's "butter" processing facility looked any more like an oil refinery, Ukraine would bomb it. They don't even have a consumer-friendly name for Frankenbutter yet. So far, the company refers to their catalytically converted, bubble-column-reactor-induced butter-type product as “butter made from carbon” or “animal- and plant-free butter.”

On the plus side, independent blind tests gave Frankenbutter a nine out of 10 for authenticity. "Most important," Gates himself said, "it tastes really good – like the real thing, because chemically it is." Then again, Gates also said of mushroom-based steak-u-lux products, "You can get used to the taste."

It’s baffling to believe Gates of Hell is still breathing.

As long as KerryGold isn’t mutated into that Gate’s Crap, I don’t care. Anyone who buys/uses it, gets what they deserve.

I actually eat butter in full tablespoons. It is great for your health and digestion.

The trick is, whatever was commonly known as the healthiest things to eat, and what was commonly known as bad. Flip that over, and eat what we were told was bad for you. From Cholesterol, to grains. Oats are for animals, meat and animal products are for humans.

“carbon dioxide captured from the atmosphere”

and what are the energy costs to “capture” CO2 from the atmosphere? ... wouldn’t it be “greener” [and cheaper] to use CO2 byproducts from industrial processes such as fermentation?

“hydrogen from water split by renewable energy”

electrical energy is fungible, it matters not the source ... there’s one big pot of it, and the cost per kilowatt-hour is the average of all of the costs to make all of the kilowatt-hours in the pot.

furthermore, any kilowatt-hours used from the pot for one purpose is no longer available from any other purpose ... so, for example, this so-called “renewable” energy used for hydrolysis COULD have been used to power homes ...

it’s nothing more than smoke and mirrors to pretend that using “renewable” energy is somehow special and better than using any other energy in the pot ...

I don't know what you get but will Blue Cross cover the hospitalization expenses after you take a bite of it?

Germany Issues Red Alert: mRNA ‘Vaccines’ Triggered Global Population Implosion

https://slaynews.com/news/germany-issues-red-alert-mrna-vaccines-triggered-global-population-implosion/

“...The panel of experts was supported by more than 200 doctors, scientists, lawyers, and health professionals.

“Today, we are issuing an urgent risk warning and calling for a moratorium on mRNA vaccines, an immediate halt, and an evidence-based reassessment,” the group declared.

“The evidence for these demands exists on multiple levels.

“Epidemiologically, there are high correlations between vaccination and booster rates and an increase in excess mortality, disease rates, as well as a decline in birth rates.”

Taste is a small consideration. I want to see a side by side comparison between butter and frankenbutter, showing all the vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, etc.

Humans are never taking cattle to space the mass balance is not going to allow for the space, air, water and feed requirements for cattle or really any livestock. Not in the moon, Mars or Low orbit space stations. Not with chemical rockets at least.

Huge nuclear powered Orion type ships and maybe but you are going to need to build Stanford torus 1800+ meters diameter or O’Neill cylinder 8,000 meters wide and 20,000 meters long.

This is far beyond human technology today you would need hundreds of millions of tonnes of lift capacity or start dragging asteroids from belt between Mars and Jupiter down deep into earth’s gravity well or L1/2 Sun Earthq moon balance points.

Even with these huge structures you would still have to justify the mass expended on water and feed for cattle. Cows are feed conversion ratio of 10:1 and that’s whole carcass weight not edible meat.

[The meat-to-carcass percentage, also known as the dressing percentage, varies, but a typical fed steer yields about 60-64% of its live weight as a carcass (meat, fat, and bone). However, the percentage of that carcass that is actual edible meat, after further processing, trimming, and deboning, is significantly lower and depends on various factors, including the animal’s breed, age, and the desired cuts. ]

“The dressing percentage of my 1400-pound steer was 63% but I only got 550 pounds of meat “

https://beef.unl.edu/beefwatch/2020/how-many-pounds-meat-can-we-expect-beef-animal/

Humans in space and on the planets are going to be vegetarians or they will be eating synthetic food, synthetic biology products of precision fermentation. Today right now you can program bacteria and yeast to turn out milk proteins, lipids and sugars aka milk.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/daphneewingchow/2025/02/24/first-lab-grown-whole-cows-milk-to-debut-in-the-us/

You can also make acetate or formic acid via co2, electrons and water. At 90% plus electrons to product conversion ratios the Faraday efficiency of the processes. This is compared to 1% or less photosynthesis to total plant biomass. Many things eat both.

Yeast and ecoli both natively eat acetate and have near 1:1 conversion ratios to engineered product or yeast cellular mass. Ecoli can crank out 60% plus by mass single cell complete protein using acetate as its carbon and energy source.

(A chicken’s feed conversion ratio (FCR) is the amount of feed needed to produce one unit of weight gain or egg output. A typical FCR for broilers (meat birds) is 1.6 to 2.0, meaning 1.6 to 2.0 kg of feed produces 1 kg of chicken. For layers (egg birds), the FCR is around 2.0 to 2.2 per dozen eggs, or ~1.8 to 2.0 per kg of eggs. A lower FCR indicates greater efficiency. )

(pig’s feed conversion ratio (FCR) measures how much feed is needed to produce one pound of body weight gain, with a lower FCR indicating more efficient feed use. While the average can range, a typical FCR is around 2.5 to 3.5 pounds of feed per pound of gain for growing-finishing pigs, with an ideal FCR being less than 3)

Lets be clear you are not taking livestock to space the math is solid on this. Not with supplies from earth using chemical rockets. Fusion based plasma engines mining the asteroid belt maybe but then if you can do that you have the tech for synthetic biology and fermentation tanks with an unlimited supply of electrons from your fusion reactors fueled by deuterium from lunar ices, or comets or scooped up from a gas giants upper atmosphere via a ramjet ram.scooper.

Livestock is 10000 year old technology when humans go to the planets and the stars we are taking 21st century tech not archaic practices so old coggers can feel good. In fact old’s won’t be going to space thst are to die here only young and healthy people are getting off this rock DNA tested and probably DNA engineered to be better than existing humans.
