ORTH OLMSTED, Ohio (WOIO) - We’re learning more about the woman charged with fatally stabbing a three-year-old boy outside a Giant Eagle grocery store in North Olmsted on Monday. According to public records, Bionca Ellis, 32, of Cleveland has not had an extensive criminal history.
“There is nothing that shows that she has any violent tendencies,” said North Olmsted Detective Sergeant Matthew Beck.
On Tuesday, Ellis was charged with the aggravated murder of Julian Wood.
Investigators say Ellis stabbed the boy and his mother with a kitchen knife in the parking lot of a Giant Eagle supermarket in North Olmsted. They say it appears to be a random attack.
Prior to that, court records show Ellis had been charged with theft at a North Olmsted Walmart in May of last year. Records show Ellis pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of unauthorized use of property and was given a six-month probation.
Judge Brian Hagan at Rocky River Municipal Court oversaw that case and told 19 Investigates that Ellis never completed her required theft education program ― thereby violating her probation. A warrant was then issued for her arrest.
There is some mental health concerns that we have, but nothing concrete at this point,” said Detective Sergeant Beck.
Records show this past March, Ellis was also charged with criminal trespassing at a hotel in Kissimmee, Florida. According to the complaint, Ellis tried renting a room but didn’t have the funds. When the clerk at the front desk asked her to leave, she refused.
Officials confirm she was jailed for more than a month in Florida before being released. Other than that, Ellis appears to have nothing on her record but a number of traffic violations.

My guess is that she did a LOT MORE then loitering after being asked to leave. But it was bargained down to ONLY tresspassing.

You clearly are unfamiliar with North Olmsted, OH. There will be no such release.
My biggest fear (and really the worst possible outcome from this situation) would be for the family members of the little boy to become racist after this unfortunate event.
THAT would be the real tragedy.

Another bit of BS is the “random” part.’’ newsweek just published a story that said video shows her spotting the family, following them and then attacking.
100% of the evidence shows she targeted them becuase they were white and vulnerable.
If they are going to have hate crime laws on the books they should be used equally.
But is this country just anymore? Trump is likely going to jail because of lying witness and at worst because he had an affair and tried to buy her silence. Not a felony, yet JFK was so notorious for screwing women while POTUS he even had a secret room in the WH for sex. Or slick Willy…not either one of them ever paid a woman hush money?

My bet is she was placed on psych meds recently. Why do I bet that? Because that usually is the case in the unmotivated attacks.
If it’s a liberal judge or DA it’s a possibility since it’s the way it happens now days.
Who knows? Maybe the cop was worried about the riots that were going to happen.

Were the races reversed this would be on television 24/7 with endless commentary by Talking Heads and rioting and looting with Democrats claiming that Trump supporters are responsible
You know the reporting / research here is pathetic. People don’t refuse to leave a hotel room and spend a month in jail. What is numerous traffic violations? They are public record as I understand so why has no enterprising reporter looked those up? It seems like the knife murder of a three old child in public would warrant a little decent journalistic investigation. Is there a racial component behind this lack of investigation? Might be. Or could just be incompetent reporters, we have plenty of those.
Guaranteed there’s a history of bizarre behavior here and dropped or failure to press charges multiple times.
we're not going to get any justice the way things are now so everyone should just stay away from these areas, or at least bring extra people with you....
