ORTH OLMSTED, Ohio (WOIO) - We’re learning more about the woman charged with fatally stabbing a three-year-old boy outside a Giant Eagle grocery store in North Olmsted on Monday. According to public records, Bionca Ellis, 32, of Cleveland has not had an extensive criminal history.
“There is nothing that shows that she has any violent tendencies,” said North Olmsted Detective Sergeant Matthew Beck.
On Tuesday, Ellis was charged with the aggravated murder of Julian Wood.
Investigators say Ellis stabbed the boy and his mother with a kitchen knife in the parking lot of a Giant Eagle supermarket in North Olmsted. They say it appears to be a random attack.
Prior to that, court records show Ellis had been charged with theft at a North Olmsted Walmart in May of last year. Records show Ellis pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of unauthorized use of property and was given a six-month probation.
Judge Brian Hagan at Rocky River Municipal Court oversaw that case and told 19 Investigates that Ellis never completed her required theft education program ― thereby violating her probation. A warrant was then issued for her arrest.
There is some mental health concerns that we have, but nothing concrete at this point,” said Detective Sergeant Beck.
Records show this past March, Ellis was also charged with criminal trespassing at a hotel in Kissimmee, Florida. According to the complaint, Ellis tried renting a room but didn’t have the funds. When the clerk at the front desk asked her to leave, she refused.
Officials confirm she was jailed for more than a month in Florida before being released. Other than that, Ellis appears to have nothing on her record but a number of traffic violations.

And then there was that criminal trespass in Florida where she spent a month in jail. but other than that everything was fine

Bionca Ellis, 32, is now facing an aggravated murder charge following the incident Monday afternoon in the parking lot of the Giant Eagle at 27264 Lorain Road in North Olmsted, the city’s police department says.
“To lose their youngest child in such a violent and senseless manner is absolutely heartbreaking,” North Olmsted Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones said in a statement Tuesday, calling the death a “terrible tragedy for our entire community.”
Police identified the victim as Julian Wood and said his mother, 38-year-old Margot Wood of North Olmsted, has been treated for non-life-threatening injuries and is “expected to make a full recovery.”
The North Olmsted Police Department says more charges are expected to be filed against suspect Bionca Ellis.
North Olmsted Police were first called to the scene around 3 p.m. Monday regarding reports of “a black female dressed in all black stabbing people in the parking lot” of the Giant Eagle store.
Responding officers then spotted Ellis walking and “still carrying the kitchen knife used in the attack,” according to Detective Sgt. Matt Beck. She was taken into custody without incident while other officers rushed to the aid of the two victims.
The boy later died at a local hospital.
“The investigation into the motive of this attack is still ongoing, but everything learned thus far points that this was a random act of violence,” Beck said. “Ellis and the victims had no prior interactions before this incident. Ellis is known to the North Olmsted Police Department for a prior offense of theft but has no known violent criminal history.”

Parents need to be armed before going out into public, it appears. Train with your firearm frequenly until you know how to use it. Always be aware of your surroundings when going outside. Keep track of your children. Don’t let your guard down. It sucks but that is where we are as a society. And it won’t be getting any better—it’s only going to get worse.
Local DA will release her. It’s the way it is now.
Nobody will riot, loot, burn or chase 17 year old white kids in the streets to assault with skateboards.
No congress member will kneel, bow, scrape, proclaim, wail about racism and hate.
Our White House resident’s nap won’t be interrupted nor his teleprompter reflect this tragedy.
There isn’t a white “Ben Crump” liar (ahem… stupid voice to text, LAWYER) who will pontificate in a press conference.
No main stream media outlets will report this at the top and bottom of every hourly show for the next week or three.
No golden coffin for the boy.
Remember kids, in the world of DIE, white people - even three year-olds - are victimizers, never victims.
