Joe Biden Gives an Ultimatum to Greg Abbott, 'Pound Sand' Is the Proper Answer
Red State ^ | Jan, 25,2024 | Bronchie

Joe Biden, or more likely his handlers, levied an ultimatum on Thursday, demanding that Gov. Greg Abbott relinquish control of the "disputed" border areas Texas has been securing. That came after 25 states joined together to pledge their support to Abbott as he battles the federal government and its refusal to enforce immigration laws.

I think Abbott would have to sign off on it.

Which is why Biden has done his damnedest to fill the military with leftist minions and traitors.

Someone at the Conservative Treehouse suggested shutting off the flow of hydrocarbons.

States have the power to close stores and pipelines.

This may get interesting pretty quickly. Wonder what the boys at Fort Hood/Cavazos are thinking.

I think Texas produces a lot of electricity to export. Sure would be a shame the lights in LA went out.

“Have someone read you the pertinent part of the Constitution, Joe.”

No this message should go to Obama.

Joe is MIA.

At last, the border is becoming the #1 issue in election 2024 nationwide.

Yup. The media blitz on abortion can't stand up to a genuine issue. Joe's people needed to make this go away and instead they doubled down.

this is how CWII starts

Each member of the Armed Forces may have to choose sides shortly. Don't simply blindly obey the orders of the Obama-appointed Generals and Admirals.

"and it will likely take another court ruling to settle the matter."

I don't think that is going to do it.

I'm betting right now that the handlers in the white hut are busy over playing their hand. If they were really smart and not just thugs and ideologues they would walk away. But they aren't and so, let the games begin. Not funny games though.

If the USSC had any balls at all they would do the right thing and order the administration to enforce border protection measures. Texas has already made that appeal. I can see that going the way of viscous compliance though with them flinging open the points of entry.

Congress has to power to raise armies, and to keep them on federal property and territory.

The necessary and proper clause gives the Congress the power to move them about outside federal areas for necessary and proper purposes in necessary and proper ways.

Congress has the power to “make rules concerning captures on land and water”.

“Congress shall have power to...establish an uniform rule of naturalization.”

[States clearly retain the right and power to expel foreigners on their territory not in federal custody as per congressional rules, even those with bona fide asylum claims.]

“No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of the citizens of the United States”

“The migration or importation of such persons as of the states now existing shall think proper to admit, shall not be prohibited by Congress prior to the year 1808”

[New York State could contract charter flights to fly asylum claimants from Mexico to JFK]

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited to it by the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.”

When I think of Guard Units, especially Air Guard Units, I think of the character played by Powers Booth in "Red Dawn".

My late Father had a sign on his desk: "Old age and treachery trump youth and enthusiasm every time."

A good friend would say, "Don't pick a fight with an old man. He'll just kill you and leave you in the ditch." He doesn't give a damn anymore.

Just about there myself.

If we get to the point where some WOKE army officer orders the federal troops to fire on the Texas State Guard, and the troops en masse refuse, then the real civil war starts. Of course if some federal soldier turns around and takes out the officer giving the order…. I heard stories like this happened in Vietnam….

If 25 states have joined with Texas that is 26. And that is over 50%.

It is called a lawful order, firing on guard/police/civilians would likely not be lawful, as was posted things could get interesting very quickly. Glorious leader did not react very fast, so my SWAQ is he is trying to extricate himself from this mess he has created.
