Ceiling fans can save AC usage.
The left won’t be happy until we are living in thatched roof huts and freezing and starving to death.
My home was built in 1992. I am original owner. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom has probably been no less than 50% of the time over the 31 years. I wonder what they think will be more cost effective and/or energy efficient. ??
“...arguing the move would save U.S. households on energy costs.”
If these wonderful Government promises all come true, my savings in health care, energy consumption, consumer protection, etc, means I’ll be able to retire at age 36.
(actually, I’m 72, but you get my drift)
Every government employee needs to be fired. Call it a term limit for government employees. They no longer work for Americans. They are disconnected from the reality. They can get that reality by working like real Americans in the private sector.
the fans have to be spun by hand
As a thought exercise. try to think of one thing, literally anything, that the US government does not feel it should be involved in.
Then review the literal definition of “Totalitarian”.
They want to control everything and everyone. These people are truly Communist left control freaks. This government is so GD out of control...
My ceiling fan identifies as a window.
“the cost to manufacturers associated with the increased equipment will total $86.6 million per year”
Not to worry.
“Your ATM is safe. Your banks are safe. There’s enough cash in the financial system. And there’s an infinite amount of cash at the Federal Reserve.”

What lunacy
If the government is soooo concerned with saving us money, why don’t they just stop making us pay for their proxy wars and creepy fetishes instead of ruining our home appliances?
Luckily, I’m a few steps ahead of Brandon on this one. I just installed a new ceiling fan in the bedroom, and I have another one that’s going up in the guest bedroom.
99% of the energy wasted with a ceiling fan is that people forget to change the direction of the blades be it cooling or heating season.
NOTE:
“A ceiling fan should rotate COUNTERCLOCKWISE in the SUMMER, so the blades push cooler air down in a column. This is the best ceiling fan direction for air conditioning since it makes the air feel cooler than it is. It allows you to turn your thermostat up a few degrees.
Ceiling fan direction in the WINTER should be CLOCKWISE, and the fan should run at the lowest speed. This pulls cool air up toward the ceiling, which in turn displaces the warm air that rises and collects near the ceiling.”
It ain’t Rocket Science! Maybe Brandon’s ‘Committee of Dumb@sses’ could take a trip to the Home Depot to learn a thing or two? *SNORT*
Maybe they should pass a law forcing Biden to stop touching young girls
This is so stupid that the people behind it know it is complete BS. The use of fans, especially ceiling fans in the home, REDUCES the need/use of air conditioning.
I’m sure the USA crop of elites are worried how they will be able to survive without gas to run their limos or fly their private jets, without gas to heat or cook, without electricity to run their AC units to cool their 20,000 sq ft mansions or even enough electricity to run their ceiling fans ... oh wait ... I’ve assumed they are under the same government edicts us smelly Walmart shopper are under ... of course they’re not.
I gots to go start up my 10 year old 420hp pickup, let it warmup while I crank up my central air, fire up my gas stove to cook dinner, run my dishwasher to clean my dishes, with hot water provided by my gas heater, and make sure all my ceiling fans are running properly.
Come and get me.......
the new rules would save households about $39 over the lifespan of the new energy-efficient fan.
Let’s see. Our ceiling fan is about 15 years old and going strong, so let’s say $2 a year savings for lower air circulation?
He’s waddling as fast as he can toward Obama’s goals.
So about the price of a fancy cake.
How long to they consider the "lifetime" of a fan?
And I now have to revive an old tag line.
