As multiple country music artists spurn Bud Light over its embrace of transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney, music legend Garth Brooks will go his own way.
Brooks is in the midst of building a bar called Friends in Low Places, which is located along Broadway in Nashville, according to WhiskeyRiff.
With artists boycotting the beverage — such John Rich banning the beer from his bar and Kid Rock taking a rifle to a pile of Bud Light cans — there was precedent for Brooks to join the pack.

Though Garth is a confirmed Republican, Joe Biden is not the first Democratic leader he has played for. He also performed at President Barack Obama’s inauguration in 2009.
Garth Brooks turned down the chance to play at President Trump’s inauguration.
Garth has been an open supporter for LGBTQ+ rights, and he even introduced Michelle Obama at her Nashville book tour stop. He is no stranger to the Democratic side of the aisle, which one fan on Twitter felt needed to be pointed out as so many Garth Brooks fans seemed appalled at his decision to play at Biden’s inauguration.
Garth Brooks destroyed traditional country music. I was in Nashville in his earliest years.
His commercial success brought him so much money, a flood of singers and writers who were NEVER true country music singers flooded the town and erased traditional country.
Everybody in New York and LA put on boots and a cowboy hat and moved to Nashville.
It was greed. It took down the genre.
Although I could make the case that it started with Urban Cowboy.
As if there's a difference.
His bar will be a “safe space.”

My roommate was convinced Brooks had sold his soul to the devil as he had seemingly come out of obscurity and almost instantly became a household name.
I think my roommate might have been onto something.
I mean its Garth Brooks.... hes desperate to be a contrarian. It works .... look here we are talking about this washout for no real reason... certainly not for his music any longer.

I love country, still many great artists. Most of the good ones understand who paved the way for them.... dont see many mentioning Garth though lol.
Two of my once favorite country singers, Garth Brookes and Vince Gill, both dumped their wives for another woman. I lost respect for both of them. Garth married a cow and Vince married a one hit wonder. I had paid $500 for two front row center tickets to a Vince Gill concert. What a waste of money. Amy Grant was on stage for the whole concert and sang for half the concert. The audience showed their disapproval and Vince gave us a lecture about what a great singer Amy Grant was. Way to turn off your fans. Don’t listen to either of them anymore. Who was it that said, Just shut up and sing?
And now Vince is ruining The Eagles.
His new place will do well as a gay bar.
