More than four in ten Americans have been forced to cut back on everyday habits and items, including the amount of groceries they purchase, as a result of Bidenflation, a recent Suffolk University/USA TODAY survey found.
They survey asked respondents about the habits they have had to change due to the reality of rising prices in President Biden’s America. Bidenflation was much worse than experts predicted for the month of June, rising to an annual rate of 9.1 percent, according to the Department of Labor.
Perhaps what is more, the cost of basic items, such as food, rose by more than 9.1 percent. Food, for instance, rose 10.4 percent in the last year, and food at home rose 12.2 percent.
Energy costs have risen 41.6 percent in the last year, and gasoline, specifically, has risen 59.9 percent, according to the report.
As a result, Americans have been forced to change their habits. According to the survey, 45.3 percent of Americans have had to cut back their spending on groceries, and 59.4 percent said they are now going out to eat less often as the result of inflation.

Beer is still cheap, thank the Lord.
I am more careful to not waste food, and to buy less. I eat out the same amount but order a little less food when I do. Spending more on wine 🍷 instead 😀.
Bidenflation is so bad stores are locking up Spam. NY post
Or as the democrats call it equality.
Control peoples needs and you control the countries path.
“Bidenflation”
I love it. Have the Marxists called that name racist yet?
Wait ‘til the new Biden tax increases hit home
It won’t matter how high the democrat inflation drives food prices when you don’t have any money left
and your skin is the wrong color for you to qualify for democrat government handouts.
Call me back when people cut their cable, beer and Disney+
According to (p)resident 🤤 it’s ‘putinflation’. When things started to go sideways months ago and Putin started his foray, we actually had someone we know say about the gas prices “That Putin is really sticking it to us huh?!” We were speechless.
85%/15% hamburger at Sam’s yesterday...$3.99/lb.
Anybody know where I can buy some bugs?
Sheryl Crow or some other hollyweird brain trust probably could help you there.
It’s more than 4 in 10.....!
As soon as the fertilizer shortages kick in...prices will be out of sight...and those vegies that have been forced upon you via brain washing...will wipe out your food money.
Smart folks will return to no nonsense meals...stew, goulash and the old standard...meat, potatoes and a vegie and canned fruits.
Sheryl Crow? I don't know. Years ago, I took her advice on toilet paper and it didn't work out so well. I lost a lot of friends...nobody wanted to shake my hand anymore.
"Sheryl Crow Uses One Square of Toilet Paper, How About You?"
Actually I’m surprised it’s not a higher number. My primary bird food has gone from $20 to $28, lunch for two at Wendy’s from $11 to $18, my favorite bacon up $2 a pound, etc. Currently there are four of us residing in a family property. I consider us to be above average in income yet we have cut back on the quantity of food purchased and, in some cases, switched to cheaper store brands if quality is comparable to name brands. Food prices alone are not the cause of cutbacks. Have you tried pricing a 20 pound tank of propane lately? I pity those with 500 gallon tanks awaiting their refills as colder weather arrives. And what about utilities? Has anyone seen the magical cheap electricity that is to provide clean energy? Heck, for the most part, we can’t even generate enough reliable electricity to meet current demands. Here in the mountains I expect to see a lot more wood smoke in fall. That is, unless the EPA tries to cut down emissions again from wood stoves.
With my garden going good right now, I’ve been keeping my tummy full on fresh veggies
Have only had any meat a couple of times in the last month
Found a couple of filets in the freezer, so today it’s that and some eggplant fried up with fresh Parmesan
Walmart doesn't raise their prices for on line shopping like most other stores and the annual delivery fee is reasonable.
For us older folks (78), here in Upstate NY...delivery is a real blessing.
Fee/cost wise....Walmart is the best option in my area.
Supper time around here is basically a good piece of meat and two fresh veggies..no bread (dieting LOL). Not fancy, but very filling for both the wife and I. Takeout from local restaurants is at least $25 now, so that's a rare treat. It's not so much a matter of trying to save money as it is...it just ticks me off. Plus, it doesn't hurt to start thinking "defensively". I've even suggested our next house have space for a "truck garden".
Also...thank you for reminding me of the canned fruit...gotta stock up.
Just a note here. At Publix until Tuesday (Wednesday in Florida), Bradshaw Beef Patties are BOGO. $12.79 which means you get each 2 pound box of 6 frozen patties for $6.40 or $3.20 per pound. Pre-inflation price. I tried them and really liked the taste and texture.
“It’s not so much a matter of trying to save money as it is...it just ticks me off.”
Yup—that is where I am right now.
I could pay the higher prices for restaurant food—but I am getting a serious “attitude” and just don’t want to....
Good. Stupid should hurt.
