I freeze as much as I can and stock up on can goods which last forever.

As soon as the fertilizer shortages kick in...prices will be out of sight...and those vegies that have been forced upon you via brain washing...will wipe out your food money.

Smart folks will return to no nonsense meals...stew, goulash and the old standard...meat, potatoes and a vegie and canned fruits.

At Sam's yesterday, the Member's Mark 6-pack of canned chicken was $18!!! Previously around $8-9. Glad I stocked up on multiples of both the 6-packs and the single 50oz cans. It's just crazy.

Supper time around here is basically a good piece of meat and two fresh veggies..no bread (dieting LOL). Not fancy, but very filling for both the wife and I. Takeout from local restaurants is at least $25 now, so that's a rare treat. It's not so much a matter of trying to save money as it is...it just ticks me off. Plus, it doesn't hurt to start thinking "defensively". I've even suggested our next house have space for a "truck garden".

Also...thank you for reminding me of the canned fruit...gotta stock up.

Just had Sunday dinner.

Steak burger over mashed potatoes and gravy with onions/mushrooms.

I haven’t eaten this since childhood. Boy ...was it tasty. Along with a salad.

All this just might backfire on Democrats as many families will pull together to get through this unwinding of the civilized world.
