Coming home should be a shot in the arm! If the wound is trying to heal, that is good news, too. I wish all of FR community lived next door to come see him and lend a hand if needed. And there are good people who can be employed, if necessary.

Your service to and love for our one-of-a-kind, noble, magnificent county in concept and reality, your conceiving and implementing Free Republic and keeping it available and so very clear and elegant and easy to use and find current and past postings by name or keyword for whoever has been fortunate enough to learn about it, frequent it, post ideas to it, respond to others’ ideas, come upon cerebral friends - valued friends - known only by their ideas, world views, special sense of humor, and their monikers. Often we don’t know the gender or age or location of the wonderful people who gather here and it doesn’t make one bit of difference. It’s how they think that is the attraction, because we learn from each other. You are one of our treasured heroes and in our daily prayers.

So sorry the one decubitus ulcer isn’t healed. I’ll bet that’s quite painful and as you know all-too-well they’re so dangerous.
Hill-Rom has a Air Fluidized Therapy bed that can be rented. The patients float in a pool of aerated tiny beads - you scoop out the beads that form clusters like a cat litter.
They use them to heal Multiple or advanced Stage II, Stage III and Stage IV pressure ulcers and burn victims. They’re expensive to rent, but I’d bet you could get enough supporters here to cover the cost.
