The leak could end up helping. Any conservative justice who switches their votes from that draft will look as though they succumbed to the mob. That could prevent a shaky “yes” from switching.
The social contract we have with the SCOTUS is that we give them lifetime employment in exchange for them not worrying about the political implications of their decisions. Their decisions are supposed to be purely predicated upon constitutionality.
They screwed up on Dred vs. Scott. They screwed up on a few other minor findings. They screwed up on Roe vs. Wade because there were a bunch of libtard SCOTUS justices. They have come to learn they screwed up big time on Berg vs. Obama because they were afraid of riots coming to their homes.
Well, riots are about to come to their homes.
They would have been better off if they had stuck to their lane the entire time. It is too late for them to get back into their own lane, they allowed a usurper to become president.
They might just kill one so Biden can replace them with a liberal.
They envision a barrage of “relentless and sustained” protests on a massive scale, which they believe might persuade at least one of the five conservative Justice, who reportedly voted in secret to overturn the law, to reverse the looming decision.

I believe it will wake-up and stiffen the spines of the more wishy-washy, so-called "conservatives" on the High Court and they'll vote the RIGHT way !

My view exactly. There may have been a chance Of Roberts convincing Kavanaugh or one of the others to join him in a narrow concurrence holding the Mississippi law constitutional but saving most of Roe. But I think that ended with the leak.
One would think that but it would depend on why they flipped. Roberts infamous Obongocare switch for instance. Will we ever know the sinister truth of that?

I don’t care about Roberts. If Breyer crosses that is significant. Roberts is a null as far as Constitutionalism goes.
They keep on threatening the court they could flip a couple of them. Instead of 5-4 it could end 7-2 or even 9-0 to save the court. Even RGB knew Roe was founded on air.
Roberts was a nay in the first place. If they flip him, it’s to the side of life. We need to pray this happens.
IMPEACH ROBERTS!!! He has failed to preserve the integriry of the court and is doing nothing substaintail to fix the damage he is ultimately responsible for.
except Breyer is leaving the court and Roberts isn’t. I think it would be much more powerful to have a convert to our side who stays on the court.

I went and read article 3... Sounds pretty comprehensive in their power to adjudicate. Interesting, though, that as far as I can see, there is nothing regarding the power that they may use to enforce their rulings.
I agree, though, that its not a very good system. I would prefer one where to pass a law you need a supermajority - like 70% - and that they would be subject to a sunset after x number of years.
This would lead to fewer laws, more freedom (and who doesn’t think we have way too many laws as it is) AND, more importantly, the laws would have widespread support.
It seems like this would render the supreme court unnecessary as a judge of the constitutionality of a law. It would only rule on the merits of the cases vis-a-vis existing laws.

I think initially it was 5-4 for Alito’s opinion.
Roberts with the minority.
Roberts wants a watered down opinion which leaves Roe in place but allows MS to restrict abortion.
If they flip Kavanaugh or ACB, they save Roe.
As we found out with the Kenyanesian Usurpation they can change the Constitution by just refusing to hear cases.
Obama is not a natural born citizen and they all know it.
