A Russian military convoy that was outside of Ivankiv, Ukraine, on Sunday has since made it to the outskirts of Kyiv, satellite images show.

On Sunday, the convoy was roughly 40 miles northwest of the Ukrainian capital, according to images provided by Maxar Technologies.

Maxar said that roughly 17 miles of roadway is chocked full of the convoy, which consists of armored vehicles, tanks, towed artillery and other logistical vehicles.

The private US company said the convoy was located on the T-1011 highway at Antonov air base around 11:11 a.m local time.

Antonov is roughly 17 miles from the center of the Ukrainian capital.

Security Service of Ukraine: contract soldiers in the Russian army are waiting for the end of May to escape from Ukraine

At the end of May, the 90-day deadline set by the Putin regime for conducting the so-called “special operation” expires. Contract soldiers who came to fight in Ukraine in February are “legally” entitled to leave the service.

Source: phone conversations of occupiers intercepted by the Security Service of Ukraine

Quote from occupier: “F*cking sh*t. In short, they said, there will be no replacement. No one wants to relieve us, everyone refuses to come here. I think, sh*t, I'll probably sit it out now, but as soon as the three months are over, damn, I need to get out somehow. I'll look for something in civilian life. After all, there is life beyond the army, isn't there?”

Details: At the same time, the Security Service of Ukraine noted that it is not easy for the Russian command to find new people willing to fight, and it is also difficult to keep its soldiers on the front line.

Ukraine war: Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov denies Putin illness

Noting that President Putin regularly appeared in public, Mr Lavrov told TF1: “I don’t think that sane people can see in this person signs of some kind of illness or ailment.” “You can watch him on screens, read and listen to his speeches,” he said in comments released by the Russian foreign ministry. “I leave it to the conscience of those who spread such rumours despite daily opportunities to assess how anyone is looking.”

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-61628473

Why is he saying that, as we all know the drill:

Lavrov was lying, he knew he was lying and he knew everyone knew he was lying — and he didn’t care.

Slava Malamud: Just floored by this document, though I shouldn’t be. This is an instruction for 🇷🇺 soldiers on how to talk to Ukrainians. A chart of propaganda talking points.
It’s an exhaustive display of how far gone the Russian minds are. This cavalcade of madness deserves a full translation

Words (to avoid): “Shot, liquidated, killed”
Instead: “The problem was solved”
Clarification: In reference to pet dogs, marauders, territorial defense fighters
Note: Extremely negative effect on locals
Words (to avoid): “Death to (ethnic slur)”, “It’s Russia here now, forget Ukraine”
Instead: “People will decide how to live and whom to choose”
Clarification: In reference to who will be in charge, Ukraine or Russia
Note: Shifts the responsibility from 🇷🇺 to locals for the moment
Questions: “Why are you here?”
Answer: “We bring humanitarian aid. Where are your officials? Why did they abandon you?”
Clarification: Do not explain that people are being shelled in (Russian-controlled) Donbas. Locals do not take this well.
Note: Shifts the burden on the locals
Questions: “Why are you armed? We are scared”
Answer: “We are temporarily replacing the police that has abandoned you. There are looters about, criminals armed by Zelensky”
Clarification: “Do not say “war”. Focus only on the police that has escaped”
Note: “Your main task...
... is to sow in the heads of the people thoughts about how weak the Ukrainian authorities are, how they have abandoned them.”

Question: “We don’t have electricity!”
Answer: “Yes, but we are also here without it. Think, why would we bomb our own power plants? Ukrainians did it!”
Question: “Are you Ukrainian or Russian?”
Answer: “Both, but most importantly we are all Orthodox Christian who have nothing to quarrel about”
Clarification: If an argument ensues, site examples of gay pride parades, the schism of Orthodoxy, sale of land to foreigners, biolabs”

Note: “Yes! We are Russians” is not appropriate. Nine years of propaganda have equated the image of a Russian to that of an invader. The image of an Orthodox Christian is spotless.
To avoid: “Blaming (ethnic slur) and Ukraine for everything.
Instead: Blame marionettes Zelensky and Poroshenko and their masters from the USA.
Clarification: Initially, until we establish state apparatus, we have to tolerate the terms “Ukraine” and “Ukrainians”
To avoid: “We are here, we will establish order”
Instead: “We will temporarily help the locals find someone from among themselves who is trustworthy, decent and responsible”
That’s the gist of it.

Imagine being bombed to smithereens and then having to hear from your murderers about how they are protecting you against pride parades.
Russia is fucking insane. Totally and completely.
PS. Also, note the subtle antisemitism of the propaganda outreach: “Don’t blame Ukrainians, avoid anti-Ukrainian ethnic slurs, even if you are used to them, blame Zelensky (an actual Jew) and Poroshenko (whom we have long accused of being a Jew) instead”

31MAY2022 SVR General (Генерал СВР):
The other day, Sergei Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin the concept of a political structure for the occupied territories of Ukraine. The concept, although crude, is so ridiculous that it aroused the keen interest of the half-dead president.

The essence of Kiriyenko’s proposals is as follows: to declare the occupied territories liberated from the “junta”, to restore the power of the “legally elected president” Viktor Yanukovych in these territories, to consider these territories as Ukraine with “legitimate” power, refusing to recognize real power in Ukraine and then hold a meeting of the three “presidents” of Russia, Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus with the signing of a union agreement on unification into one state, in fact, joining Russia, a kind of Belovezhskaya Pushcha on the contrary. Thus correct the “historical mistake” of the collapse of the USSR, which Putin himself considers the biggest geopolitical catastrophe of the 20th century. After the restoration of “historical justice”, or rather a truncated version of the USSR, it is proposed, on new grounds, to continue the annexation of the rest of Ukraine, which Russia will already consider its part. Moreover, according to the preliminary plan, “Ukraine”, or rather, what Russia annexes to itself will receive Crimea in the form of autonomy and Donbass within its administrative borders. The idea is absolutely absurd and unfeasible, but so much so that it is called “entered” by Putin, that he gave the order to prepare this plan in detail and submit it within two weeks.

South Ossetia shelves plan for referendum to join Russia
The leader of South Ossetia, the breakaway region of Georgia, has scrapped plans to hold a referendum on joining Russia. However, a vote could still be held after consultations with Moscow.

The referendum was called by the region's former leader, Anatoly Bibilov, who is considered by many to have called for the controversial vote to secure his reelection.

However, Bibilov lost a presidential election in early May to his rival Alan Gagloev, who has called the planned plebiscite premature.

Despite criticizing the referendum, Gagloev has voiced his support for South Ossetia’s eventual accession to Russia.

Georgia's government has called the plan for a referendum “unacceptable.”

Perhaps more likely that both Abkhazia and South Ossetia will return to Georgia after the war.

01JUN2022 SVR General (Генерал СВР):

Wartime not only shatters hopes and deceives the expectations of Russian President Vladimir Putin, but also helps him find interesting management solutions. If earlier the resignation of a minister, governor, head of service, etc. Putin had to prepare in strict secrecy, constantly changing and modernizing plans in connection with leaks and conjectures in the press, and in general, the implementation of the president’s decision to resign any official, minister, governor or security official was like a full-fledged special operation. Now, the successful experience of Shoigu and Gerasimov, who were removed from decision-making by Putin, but nominally remain in their places, opens up new prospects for the president.

You can actually remove any top-level official from business, leaving, albeit temporarily, nominally in his place, while transferring his functions to a shadow successor. At the same time, outwardly, everything looks like a strong, and most importantly, that Putin loves so much, a STABLE system of power. Putin is already discussing these plans with might and main with his inner circle. So such decisions are brewing regarding the head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Vladimir Kolokoltsev, and the director of the FSB, Alexander Bortnikov. With regard to Kolokoltsev, a decision has been ripening for a long time, and now an opportunity has arisen, and as for the director of the FSB, Alexander Bortnikov, he has long been asking for his resignation and is actually sabotaging the resolution of a number of important issues. Plus, under Bortnikov, recently this has been especially noticeable, there has been a decentralization of the leadership of the service, where spheres of influence are divided among several decision-making centers from the outside. Putin is extremely dissatisfied with the state of affairs in the FSB and the actual leadership will soon be transferred to Sergei Korolev, while Bortnikov nominally remains the director for some time. Everything would be fine, but soon in this way the system of power will turn into a puppet theater.

Most of the articles are authored by "RuNews", a clue that this website is a one man show. Admin officials confirmed to reporters tonight that the US will be sending HIMARS w/munitions that have a range of 80 km, or about 49 miles. This is shorter range than what the systems are capable of at their max, but still far greater than anything Ukraine currently has.
