A Russian military convoy that was outside of Ivankiv, Ukraine, on Sunday has since made it to the outskirts of Kyiv, satellite images show.
On Sunday, the convoy was roughly 40 miles northwest of the Ukrainian capital, according to images provided by Maxar Technologies.
Maxar said that roughly 17 miles of roadway is chocked full of the convoy, which consists of armored vehicles, tanks, towed artillery and other logistical vehicles.
The private US company said the convoy was located on the T-1011 highway at Antonov air base around 11:11 a.m local time.
Antonov is roughly 17 miles from the center of the Ukrainian capital.

“Let’s hope that your people … at least take your remains,” the mystery messenger pinged back. “Because thousands of your comrades are rotting on Ukrainian soil.”

The entire command of the 331st Guards Airborne Regiment of the Russian Federation was destroyed in Ukraine.
The regiment commander, Colonel Sukharev, was destroyed. The chief of staff, lieutenant colonel, with staff officers and commanders of companies and battalions, were destroyed.
The 331st regiment was responsible for the Ilovai massacre in 2014.

As a result of a cyber attack on the infrastructure of the Federal Air Transport Agency, all documents, files, aircraft registration data and mail were deleted from its servers. About 65 terabytes of data were erased.
The authorities are looking for a backup copy. The Aviation Herald writes that there is no backup copy of this data - the Russian Ministry of Finance has not allocated funds for it. The department was even forced to switch to a paper document flow.

While Temirlan Rakumov secured a huge win in the fight, what made headlines was the fact that he carried a Ukraine flag with him and called Russian President Vladimir Putin a Killer after his victory. Rakumov said that his coach and his uncle is from Ukraine and added that innocent people are dying in the country.

Here is what I have to say about South Ossetian soldiers’ voluntary refusal to partake in the warfare in Ukraine.
Many Ossetians seek revenge against Ukraine for its de-facto political and military support of Georgia when the latter conducted genocide and repression of non-Georgian ethnic groups of former Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic.
South Ossetian soldiers ended up in Ukraine as integral part of the Russian army. Again, this is due to president Bibilov’s decision some time ago.
The very fact of sending hundreds of Ossetians to Ukraine sparked the flames of discontent in South Ossetia as the country has literally lost most of its soldiers for the time being and become completely vulnerable to Georgia.
Ossetians were expected to carelessly attack well defended Ukrainian positions in the kamikaze style, without any well thought thru strategy. This would have led to immense losses. At some point Ossetian soldiers just ignored orders and started fighting their own way.
As the outcome of such a rebellious and independent demeanor, major incident followed: a refusal to supply ammunition and maps to the Ossetian unit.
This triggered Ossetians to come up with a tense theory: “They want to have as many people from Caucasus slaughtered in this senseless bloodbath as possible”.
And then there was the final incident that almost ended at the gunpoint. One of the commanders prohibited Ossetian soldiers to retrieve their dead comrade’s body from the battlefield. This ignited a real unrest

* That empire includes the Warsaw Pact, which was an alliance in name only. This “alliance” is one of the few (only?) that spent most of its efforts invading its members. In reality, it was a fig leaf to formalize the status of Russian occupation troops who were there as insurance against national leaders (Russian-appointed puppets, really) who went against Russian diktats.
The difference between the Warsaw Pact and US alliances? When alliance member the Philippines told the US to leave its naval base, the US left. When France decided to leave NATO, the US withdrew its troops. When Warsaw Pact member Hungary told the Russians to get out of their hair, the Russians invaded and executed their leader. When Warsaw Pact member Czechoslovakia tried to liberalize the nation’s policies, the Russians invaded and removed their leader from power.
