Penn administration 'strongly advise' its swimmers to avoid talking to the media about the situation surrounding Thomas..

...

Even after a Wednesday team meeting where a source says Penn administration "strongly advised" its swimmers to avoid talking to the media about the situation surrounding transgender Penn swimmer Lia Thomas, a second female Penn swimmer has stepped forward to speak out

...

The second female Penn swimmer to speak out, who was granted anonymity due to what is viewed as threats from the university, activists, and the political climate, wants people to know that Penn swimmers are "angry" over the lack of fairness in the sport as Lia Thomas destroys the record books and brings fellow teammates to tears.

...

The second Penn swimmer to come forward was at the University of Akron Zippy Invitational where she watched Lia Thomas beat fellow teammate Anna Kalandadze by 38 seconds in the 1650 freestyle. OutKick’s source described Penn swimmers on the Akron pool deck as upset and crying, knowing they were going to be demolished by Thomas.

They feel so discouraged because no matter how much work they put in it, they’re going to lose. Usually, they can get behind the blocks and know they out-trained all their competitors and they’re going to win and give it all they’ve got

...

Now they’re having to go behind the blocks knowing no matter what, they do not have the chance to win. I think that it’s really getting to everyone

...

after the 200 freestyle, Thomas could be overheard bragging.

"That was so easy, I was cruising..

...

the biological women are pretty much being told to shut their mouths and move along by the school and the NCAA.

...

biological women will never be on an equal playing field with transgender females.

There isn’t a way to talk about 52% of society and not speak in general terms. If you are truly conservative, you shouldn’t want women to vote or hold office. You would get the results you want.

How is “it” cheating?
/\

It doesn’t actually have mammory glands/ breasts , less drag gives it an unfair advantage.

Make it get 36 d cups sewn on to level the playing field.

Just an idea /-).

Exactly!

They’ve pushed the lie that men and women are the same. Now they get to live with it. I have no sympathy for them.

Know what? Likely NONE of the true woman swimmers on the team is a “they’ve pushed...” who is down with this.

I spent uncountable hours driving to swim meets and sitting on bleachers watching my daughter swim—all to drop time to make the cut—and she did...

And I spent a considerable amount of money for her fees to be on a top swim team and sending her to out-of-state camps (air fare extra).

You can stereotype and not care, but I have a lot of respect and sympathy for the women on this team and women in other women’s sports. My granddaughters have no “they pushed...” feelings nor do their parents, but there is no future in women’s sports going forward, and that is a shame because it teaches values and keeps kids out of trouble.

When I was in HS, I really liked girls swimming. I “spent time” with some. I had zero care if they were good at swimming. I just cared if they were sweet and pretty.
I wasn’t jaded by life yet.

"At the next swim meet they should just stand on the deck when the starting gun goes off. Let the queer swim by himself. Make a complete mockery of the situation. In other words, tell him and the staff to go eff themselves."

The optix are striking; but then UPenn would #cancelculture every one of those girls, and the student body would too, arguing they threw away their impending Ivy League championship.

This is all just getting started. It took 20 years to get this debauched in sports, and it will take at least 10 years to fix.

Gotta play the long game, and having those girls transfer away leaving UPenn with a swim team of one man on a supposed woman's team would have a much broader effect, with Will swimming alone, alone at the podium, alone in the team picture, etc.

As it is, this article is likely to shake the nuts out of the trees next week (no pun intended).

“the team meets will be a lock for the coaches that allow this.”

It is called cheating.

If the NCAA encourages or allows cheating they will get cheating—and young people will learn that cheating is a good thing.

Think of it as leftist “education” in action.

You are absolutely correct IMO. Some of the posters are consistently posting as knuckle dragging sexists, redneck bigots and haters.
I have noticed these same posters on other threads. If they post their muck here, Free Republic can be maligned by showcasing their remarks. These people are not conservatives and I believe their motives are suspect.

How much longer can this LGBTQMAP crpp go on?

I'm not encouraged. I remember thinking that Rapp "music" wouldn't last long.

As a reminder, governments have created problems by pretending for a long time: Salem witch hunts; legalized slavery, the holocaust, abortion, and now pretending that homosexuality is normal.

Eventually, all will end because they are based on pretending, not based on truth, but it might take a long, long time in human terms.

Women won’t stop this. They are too micro emotional. They focus on the feelings of the transgender person.

To most women, the female athletes who are upset about this are normal people with normal lives. They can get over their frustration over a tranny running circles around them in sports.

But the tranny is part of a victim class, and deserves special privileges. This is why the serpent didn’t try to con Adam, and waited until Eve was alone. Most women can be talked into anything.

Well, we just had a nationwide lesson on that “cheating is a good thing” with the 2020 “election.”

“...cheating...”

It’s not cheating as long as the system allows it. And this has been going on in sports, among other things, for the money for years. Every sport, amateur or pro, has been modified to fit the money or the success of the organization both individually or as a whole. So this is no different than before the incident.

It is the acceptability of certain people that make the money that counts. The spectators or athletes are just a tool. Every time someone gets spanked for going over the top, sooner or later the glass ceiling will be broken to fit the situation. And it will happen in some form like they got caught doing originally. Evolution isn’t always for the better...but it exists a lot longer than the creativity that birthed it. And if it pays, it will get worse from there and spread to other sports or jobs till it infects it enough to destroy the intent of the need or the institution. Your need is competition, theirs’ is money. Two parts of the puzzle. And opinions other than theirs’ only count when the wallet goes closed.

Those women competitors pushed nothing but themselves as they trained to compete against other women

I feel for them. A bunch of lunatics have ruined their sport

Of course there’s a future in women’s sports. There’s just no future in women’s sports that are organized and managed by people and institutions that don’t care about women’s sports. Women can organize the sports themselves and compete as they see fit.

I don’t see the downside of this, frankly.
