They’ve pushed the lie that men and women are the same. Now they get to live with it. I have no sympathy for them.
Know what? Likely NONE of the true woman swimmers on the team is a “they’ve pushed...” who is down with this.
I spent uncountable hours driving to swim meets and sitting on bleachers watching my daughter swim—all to drop time to make the cut—and she did...
And I spent a considerable amount of money for her fees to be on a top swim team and sending her to out-of-state camps (air fare extra).
You can stereotype and not care, but I have a lot of respect and sympathy for the women on this team and women in other women’s sports. My granddaughters have no “they pushed...” feelings nor do their parents, but there is no future in women’s sports going forward, and that is a shame because it teaches values and keeps kids out of trouble.
Of course there’s a future in women’s sports. There’s just no future in women’s sports that are organized and managed by people and institutions that don’t care about women’s sports. Women can organize the sports themselves and compete as they see fit.
I don’t see the downside of this, frankly.

Truely a shame. However, my opinion, and that’s all it is, an opinion, is based on my limited experience. I only know 1, that’s singular, one daughter sent away to college who came back with any sort of common sense. Every other case I’m aware of, and it’s numbering in the double digits, daughters came back and were ultra liberal. In many cases, they felt compelled to “educate” their parents and try to show them the error in their less than liberal ways.
The only way this madness ends is if reality hits these people right where it hurts. If there isn’t a ground swell, real outrage over the stupidity, then nothing will change. I feel badly for your struggles, but the only answer is not for a few swimmers to secretly express displeasure. The answer is for women to start rejecting this liberal madness in large numbers. I don’t see that happening, so, yes, I can’t be bothered to care.
