No, it is the flu. Until we figgered out the differences between cold virii and influenza, a cold with fever, aches, etc was a bad cold. Now, we recognize it as flu.
There is a difference between the 10-40% effective flu vaccines and the fake vax for Covid (AKA WuhanFlu). The fake vax does protect you against the WuhanFlu hurting you. But, it protects you from nothing else, either flu, cold, or transmitting the WuhanFlu to others.
Obviously...time for a booster or two.
Who cares about colds - just cover your nose! Someone sneezed last week at work and let it fly without covering up. He got sent home for the day as essentially he was a pig.
Just give the patient a 6 day prophylaxis of HCQ and Zinc Sulfate. Send them home and get some rest. Problem solved.

It only depends on what the media picks up on. What politicians want to drum up as the next new crisis. What government agency/departments can use to expand their budget and scope in powers.
Every year 1.27% off the population in the US dies. Every year in your or my family 1.27% of the people we know die. You just don’t realize this, you don’t perceive it. But when the news talks about it. When they test a family member and claim he died of Covid, when politicians make all sorts of rules and its in your conciousness, your perception is entirely different. For example, I travel to rural Mexico often. 2019 and 2020 were normal years, like any other year (except if you went into the cities, there they were stupid just like in the US because the media has an influence).

America today is ruled by oligarchs. The most successful firms out there, many of the richest people are because of a cozy relationship between them and the government which is able to shape the marketplace, subsidize, force the purchase of a product...
Examples: Warren Buffet and his railroad shipping crude (the pipeline doesn’t get built). Elon Musk and massive green subsidies for Tesla (>$5 billion this far in tax dollars). Jeff Bezos and no trade restrictions with China as well as AWS for the government. The Insurance companies and Obama’s health care plan. Pfizer and Moderna making record profits today. Google and their early pulling away from the competition (like Altavista etc) because they got massive investment money via the NSA (as long as data is shared). Snapchat and them getting money from the federal government (as long as data is shared). Bill Gates and him pushing the federal government to go after folks (often kids) that pirated his 47 cent operating system that was largely based on stolen ideas itself (remeber the “pirating is not a victimless crime” campaign?).
What you have in America is big business shaping the regulatory framework or laws themselves, a form of collusion between big busness and government where by regulation you maximize profits. Did you know you will need to buy new refridgerants again? They were just replaced a few years ago. But they don’t really go bad and what do you do if you make a product that doesn’t really expire or go bad?
It’s all “to save the planet” of course! LOL
So here we are. We are violating peoples right to privacy, taking away their livelihoods, ostrasizing folks, destroyed tens of thousands of small businesses... all because of the cold. But it make economic sense for someone.
