A 20-year-old man was fatally shot during a traffic stop after a Minnesota police officer shouted "Taser!" but fired a handgun instead of the non-lethal stun gun, Brooklyn Center Police Chief Tim Gannon said.

Police these days are too overloaded with gear. Their belt is something Batman would be proud of. In a stressful situation, I could see them fumbling for something off of their belt and picking the wrong thing -- aside from the fact you can't run well with a 30 lb. load on your hips, and you'll probably end up with back problems the rest of your life...

Oh, I was the stoppee!
Used to have quite the lead foot back in the day.
Always polite to the officers though, I usually was able to talk my way to a simple warning just by letting the officer relax and realize I was not a threat.
Just a regular guy who liked to go a little fast.
Now that I'm semi-retired and drive just a little Subaru, I'm in no hurry anymore. Now I've got to worry about the tailgaters in my rear view instead of the cops.
