I’d like to hear what the “white doctor,” other medial personnel that took care of this doctor and the hospital have to say about this.
Obesity is responsible for a myriad of problems including heart disease, bone joint pain, diabetes, strokes, and even makes one more susceptible to cancer. The voracious cancer cells must like all that fat to munch on.
Except for those who work outdoors, no one is getting sufficient sunlight and vitamin D. Supplements in his case are critical to maintain health.
The only solution is to cut clinic funding

Why didn’t she take HCQ/Zinc Sulfate. It is easily available and the cost is negligible. Must starting taking within 48hrs. of first symptoms.

My DO was a Navy Seal doctor and because of his skill with diagnosis and precise needle/cortisone injections has solved two vexatious joint problems for me in the last year. They are the real deal and not quacks. Michigan State University DO.

would refuse anyone with her symptoms in the current political climate. Straight up liar.
This is what happens when you give medical degrees on someone based on skin color.

That is SO true. Having advocated for 4 parents, my wife and I prevented so many potential mistakes in their care. It was mostly over drugs that were prescribed. Each specialist gave prescriptions without any consideration of what the other doctors had prescribed. My F-I-L was on medications to raise and lower his blood pressure at the same time, as one example.
The doctors were not being malicious, just miopic.

What studies specifically? while this comment is thrown out 100x a day, I have yet to see any proof of this. It’s getting old.
Only 4.8% of fatalities occur in people under 50. 86.3% of fatalities are in people 60 or older. Blacks constitute 15% of fatalities while being 9% of the population.
So, yes, blacks are more at risk, but it is ELDERLY people (especially those with diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol) who are predominantly at risk.
Despite being black, she was not in the elderly high-risk group.
I think one reason why there are more black fatalities, is you have a much higher percentage of older blacks being morbidly obese.

The black obesity rate is 50% higher than the white rate, which (to me) accounts for much of the racial disparity in COVID fatalities.

He listed parameters for when it is good to use it yesterday.
She probably didnt fit those parameters.
That said, I dont believe it is Illegal to prescribe your own medications for something like this...and if it is in her State then she should have not had a problem getting a fellow Dr to do it early on

obesity is a great inducer of GERD, which causes stomach acid to creep up the esophagus, even when upright, and said acid can rise into the nasal pharynx, causing inflammation that creates phlegm that drains into the lungs, as well as the stomach acid itself draining from the nasal pharynx into the lungs. This creates lung inflammation and is therefore one of the causes of asthma. GERD is VERY frequently (maybe most of the time) “silent”, meaning there are no heartburn symptoms, so often the only symptom of GERD is nasal pharynx phlegm. Silent GERD also eats away at the vocal cords, causing hoarseness.
It should also be noted that untreated or poorly controlled asthma can induce back pressure on the flow of the blood through the lungs, thus increasing the pressure against the right ventricle, ultimately causing hypertrophy of the right ventricle and eventually chronic heart failure.
Thus we see yet another cause of heart disease and lung disease from obesity, i.e., eating oneself to death.
i think it is entirely possible she was treated that way...but not because she is black. The Dr probably treats white people the same way.
We have seen many many instances during this Covid nightmare where the Dr doesn’t listen and sends the patient home only to have the patient have to come back in serious condition.
Perhaps part of it is no recognized good treatment in the beginning of your down hill slide
