They are at greater risk numerically since as a whole they have more underlying issues like diabetes and heart disease due to obesity. Obesity is a result of one thing

Confusing
Said she worked to get released so she could go elsewhere, then she went home was unable to care for herself and went back to the same hodpital.
My friend..who is a nurse of 41 yrs..had to argue w the medical staff when her husband was admitted to hospital for blood sugar problems..they re both white.
Theses days you better have family to advocate for you.
Race is irrelevant.
It really should be poorer people, not black.
THAT is because poor people, at least in the USA, tend to be more obese, don’t eat healthy foods, lack vitamin D and zinc in their diet, and don’t tend to go to the doctor, for a variety of financial and cultural reasons.
I’m in Alabama. Blacks are 26% of the population, but are 68% of the deaths.
Many of our black counties are very rural. No hospitals or clinics except in the larger cities.
No Jim Crow conspiracy, just a lot of fat, older, unhealthy people who live way out in the woods with no nearby hospitals.
Sorry babe, as a doctor you should know why this happens. It’s hospital policy.
Many doctors are afraid to prescribe pain medication.
With the rising opiate deaths doctors are gun shy of giving prescriptions for pain medication.
My mother had advanced severe scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and was in constant pain.
Her Primary Care Physician would give her nothing but Ibuprofen. That’s like putting a band aid on a sucking chest wound.
All she asked for was valium. She would take ½ a tablet at bedtime so she could relax enough to fall asleep.
Any doctor that looked at her should know immediately that the woman was in pain. Her spine was twisted into a S-curve from side to side. By the time of her death her spine had fused to her hip.
The doctor would not write a prescription. Valium is on the list of drugs that get flagged for abuse by the Feds. Many doctors are Cowards.
Sorry it they do tend to have a higher infection and death rate.
However, jumping to claim it’s racism is dubious.
As a group they tend to have higher incidence of communicable diseases. All of them. Most likely because they tend to have much higher percentages working in the service industry and coming in contact with more random people daily as part of their jobs.
As to worse outcomes, this too is true, but whether it’s from worse medical care or that as a group they tend to have more chronic medical issues, or biological susceptibility who knows.
However If the claims here are accurate, this is disturbing.
Whoops—got my numbers wrong. Blacks are 26% of the population but 32% of the deaths, not 68%.
Huge difference.
attitudinal black man whines about his condition
Where covid is concerned, BL don’t M
He is of course, racist to the core
Her Communist Chinese allies sure helped her out, too.
IF the numbers say that it is only because they have more comorbidities. ( but don’t go there because all sorts of things will be said)
I am pretty sure she had a doctor right there, but she rolled over and crushed him.
Not even coming close to thinking of believing it.
Sorry, but that claim ran out of gas years ago.
Only NPR, the alphabet networks, the NYT and associated dumbasses believe that stuff anymore.
I think the "greater risk" is not a lesser medical resistance to the virus. It is a resistance to social distancing, mask use, hand washing and avoiding crowds. All those things are only for white people.
Fat people are at much greater risk from WuFlu. She appears to have been grossly obese.
Loose weight and live, whether or not one is white or colored.
Wonder if darker skins create less vitamin D in body from sun exposure. Dark skin is nature’s way of protecting people from ultra-violet in sunny climates.
Same here! I’m taking D, C, Quecetin and Zinc. So far, so good. (Knock on wood!)
Auf wiedersehen.😎
One less bell to answer.
One less egg to fry
