I don’t automatically assume that since the polls were so wrong in 2016

The polls were not very wrong in 2016.

Hillary "won" by 3 million votes and 2.1%.

She "won" by 3 million votes. Of course the polls showed her ahead.

every single “rock ribbed Republican” I’ve talked with about the debate - and that’s quite a few people - think Trump totally blew it on Tuesday and came across way too hard and aggressive.

You just outed yourself, troll-boi.

That debate WON Trump the election. Some of the Swampies in his inner circle counseled him to go soft and statesman like this close to the vote; Biden had either electronic assistance, or the questions in advance, or both; and Wall-Ass was going to sandbag Drumpf.

The post-debate analysis stories were already written -- "Biden the Comeback Kid" / "Biden pummels helplessly over-his-head Drumpf" and the like.

Pure lies and projection.

Trump tried being nice for the first few minutes, then he saw what was up when Biden interrupted him.

So he ran INTO the ambush, disrupting it and rendering the follow-up propaganda pieces worthless.

Note the left was NOT crowing about GLORIOUS COMMUNIST, I mean, Biden's victory. Instead they were calling for rule changes or an end to the debates.

You are so full of crap it literally staggers the human mind.

Important to remember: Trump was not on the ballot in 2018.

He will be in 2020.

ROFL, troll-boi.

Trumpslide. The Dems know it which is why they are pushing for massive mail-in ballots / voter fraud, and the Biden campaign has hired hundreds of lawyers.

Voters say Biden did a better job at the debate by 2-to-1 margin
Forty-nine percent of voters say Biden did a better job at Tuesday’s debate, which was marked by insults, interruptions, falsehoods and personal attacks — most, though not all, coming from the president.

That’s compared with 24 percent who say Trump had the better performance.

Another 17 percent say that neither did a better job at the debate.

Additionally, 19 percent of voters say they’re more likely to support Biden after the debate, versus 6 percent who say they’re more likely to back Trump.

The vast majority — 73 percent — say the debate made no difference in how they’d vote.

Among the 49 percent who say Biden did a better job, many voters cited Trump’s performance when asked to describe what they thought was important at the debate.

“Basically, last night was a snapshot of the last three and a half years. Not being able to say anything about white supremacists, being negative and being unpresidential,” 0said one respondent.

Even among the 24 percent who say Trump did the better job, the responses were as much about the president’s performance than Biden’s.

“I would say Donald Trump’s admittance of not supporting white supremacists, telling the white supremacists to stand down, so to speak, by the moderator. The other important thing was Joe Biden’s inability to form any coherent response,” said a voter who thought Trump did a better job.

Ipsos and NBC are both C rated pollsters.

And no one should even reply to you. or the idiot that posted this. were you guys alive four years ago or just as miserable then as you are now?

I think there’s a certain number of people on this board that are so miserable that they enjoy bad news even when it is so obviously fake.

do you really think Biden is leading by 10 to 14 points?

Then you are a bigger fool than I thought.

And you don’t want to know what I thought before this

Instead of whining like a b**** how about the ones here so sure that these polls are true start praying for president Trump?

The hysteria is strong here .... ‘we gonna loooose oh nose’. Sad we have to put up with this every 4 years (not so much during midterms). They play right into the Rats hands, spread doom and gloom and people stop donating - no one wants to waste money on a losing cause. Trump is up and it is his to lose. Next we will hear how they will steal it. They have been cheating since Nixon / Kennedy. If we have not figured out how to counter it we are he problem. I trust Trump has a plan. Fake polls. And this is not 2016, totally different dynamics so the Rats have a different plan.

"Voters" say. I notice you were careful not to cite a source on that. And you went out of your way NOT to emphasize this, either: The vast majority — 73 percent — say the debate made no difference in how they’d vote.

(That's assuming the rigged sample in any way indicates actual voters, troll-boi.)

I agree with you. Even if Trump wins and we get another 4 years...... what about 2024? My generation is dying off, and what type of voters are taking our place? We’ve lost the culture. We allowed the educational system to be taken over by leftists, and our gov to be run by the swamp. The deep state has stopped at nothing the past 4 years....and they will do everything they can to keep Trump from being re-elected. They have pulled out all the stops.

Concerning the 2018 Red Wave/Blue Wave...off year elections are rarely good for the party with the presidency. It is just the fickle nature of the voters. Their guy is in charge and they just sit back and get lazy and don’t go to the polls, while the other side is in offense mode to turn the tide so to speak. I think many Freepers were a little too high from election night 2016 and were expecting a repeat.

So the Dems were in full combat mode in 2016 and were able to throw boatloads of money in to certain key races.
