Protesters tore down statues of Forward and a Union Civil War colonel, assaulted a state senator and set a small fire in a city building Downtown on Tuesday night after the arrest of a Black activist earlier in the day.......
.......Protesters wrapped chains around Forward, the bronze statue of a woman located at the State Street corner of Capitol Square, and pulled her down around 10:45 p.m. The sculpture is a replica of a Jean Pond Miner sculpture cast in 1893 and installed in the Capitol in 1895 that was designed as an allegory for devotion and progress, the embodiment of her home state.
Protesters set their sights on another statue, one of Col. Hans Christian Heg at the top of King Street, tore it down and dragged it into Lake Monona. Heg was a Norwegian immigrant and journalist who died of his wounds at the Battle of Chickamauga fighting to preserve the United States and end slavery.......
......Some protesters punched State Sen. Tim Carpenter, D-Milwaukee, in the face after the lawmaker tried taking a picture, according to multiple reporters on the scene. Carpenter had been headed to the Capitol to get some work done late Tuesday evening.
Im heartbroken, Verveer, who represents the Downtown area, said as midnight approached. Its so overwhelming right now to see this violence on the streets to this extent. I dont know when this will ever end.......

Just a “small” fire, so it was still “mostly peaceful”.
Federal charges of sedition, insurrection, conspiracy would work too.
Taking down a statue of an immigrant from Norway who fought in the Civil War = totally stupid.
I hope this fact gets out to the Norskis in Minnesota.
These days, I doubt any Republican will respond to a poll call
They assaulted a Democrat state senator. The Dems are beginning to lose control of their mob.
But they don't; they just bow deeper and take both knees believing that act of supplication will make them acceptable to their new masters. They can't accept the fact that this is the result of their years of pandering to those espousing liberal notions of governance (i.e. taxpayer money to favored groups in return for votes) and especially support of union-run schools who teach diversity and sexual choice, but pass by history and civics.
No, the democrats never had control. The democrats lack the temerity to oppose African rioters, looters and pillagers.
Their hold on parts of the black vote is in severe jeopardy. To oppose any African action is to certainly lose votes.
We are told there are good American Africans. If that is true, why are they not loudly opposing their antiAmerican bros?
We will learn in November if there are in fact any, that is any, good Africans or if for fact they are all antiAmericans intent on the destruction of America.
“Some protesters punched State Sen. Tim Carpenter, D-Milwaukee, in the face...”
He collapsed soon afterwards and was taken away in an ambulance. He’ll probably grovel and beg for forgiveness from the howling mob.
So much for devotion and progress.

EXCELLENT NEWS!
The puppets turning on their masters.
Still "down with the struggle" there, senator?"
America’s forefathers should’ve picked their own damned cotton.
Evidently the country is OK with this chaos.
No he was taking a picture. Even better. 8>)
I think it’s hilarious that the Democrat got punched out...dumb asses thought these idiots were their friends!!!
Thanks for posting! I just hopped on - didn’t watch the news last night.
I’ll look for more info. :)
Looks like Governor Tony ‘Millhouse’ Evers (D, WI) is ready to call out the National Guard.
Madison has wanted their own ‘Kent State’ for street cred, since the 60’s!
MADISON, Wis. (WBAY) - Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers says his administration is prepared to activate the Wisconsin National Guard to protect state buildings after statues were toppled in Madison and buildings were damaged.
Evers says his administration is assessing damage to state property, the Capitol building and the Tommy G. Thompson Center.
What happened in Madison last night presented a stark contrast from the peaceful protests we have seen across our state in recent weeks, including significant damage to state property. I want to be clear: violence against any personwhether in the middle of the street in broad daylight, at home trying to sleep, going for a run, or happening upon a protest as was the case last nightis wrong. It should never be tolerated. Any single act of injustice against one person is less justice for all of us, and the people who committed these acts of violence will be held accountable. My thoughts are with Sen. [Tim] Carpenter (D, Milwaukee, WI) who was among the individuals attacked last night and wish him a quick recovery,” reads the statement from Evers.
“We also cannot allow ourselves to forget the reason why these protests began: because of the murder of George Floyd, of Breonna Taylor, of the many Black lives taken before them, and because racism and structural inequality still pervade this country. Our cause and our purpose must continue to be the pursuit of the promise of an equitable, just, and fair state and country, and we cannot delay delivering on these promises any longer.”
Well another dominate communist city is being burned. Oh, well, that’s swell.
Jean Pond, born after the Civil War ended. A talented sculpture and suffragette. Original statue inside the Capital, the bronze casting they're toppling dates to the late 1960s, paid for by women's groups in the state. Nothing to d with slavery. Nothing to do with the Confederacy. A lot to do with the woman's movement who I'm sure will condemn the action. And erasing American culture.
Maybe I'm wrong. Hans Christian Heg, a Civil War General and local politician. Now we're getting somewhere. Except he was a Free Soil Party politician. Abolitionists who later merged into the Republican Party. And a Union Gereral, that's odd. As a Colonel I believe he commanded the 15th Wisconsin Volunteers, the Scandinavian Regiment. Mostly Norwegan, they were probably pretty white, maybe that's the problem. Mortally wounded at Chickamauga, Fighting the they people like Gen. Bragg who get their statues toppled and bases renamed.
All very confusing. I conclude this has nothing to do with slavery and the Confederacy, everything to do with motivating another insurrection.
