This trial just started today. I wonder how long it will last? She’s going to be found guilty, I’m sure.

Sentencing will likely come later this year. I wonder how much time she will get.

So does that mean they are going to be lodged in a hotel at taxpayer’s expense?

Never should have been a cop in the first place.

I don’t trust a word she says. I hope she gets nailed for her lies.

She goes into an apartment thinking it’s hers and doesn’t know that things such as chairs and couches and whatever don’t look the same and the guy just standing there?

The judge is making a good decision.

It’s going to be a media circus.

I’m glad they are keeping the trial in Dallas County.

This was probably murder. I’ve lived in at least 9 apartments/condos, and I never entered the wrong address. Her story doesn’t make sense.

The prosecution in opening statements held up a big red doormat that was in front of the neighbors apartment door, also noting that Guyger did not have a doormat in front of her apartment.

That would be hard to miss.....

“This (ex) cop is (deservedly) screwed.”

Concur.

Even if true, her story is not self-defense.

She walked into someone else’s house (and said somebody was minding his own business) and shot him, allegedly by accident.

If she wasn’t a cop, they’d already have fried her.

Many years ago, when I had an upstairs neighbor that I didn’t like, I nixed this idea. However if I were a cop....................................

I live here in Dallas. She’ll be found not guilty. It wasn’t murder. It was manslaughter. Dallas DA has overcharged her due to public pressure. They have screwed up. The shooting was not premeditated. She should have not shot him. It’s manslaughter and they didn’t charge her with that. She’ll get found not guilty and Dallas will be to blame for it.

I wouldn’t make it to the jury, from what I’ve seen she’s guilty.

My advice to former officer Guyger: Have your lawyer work out some sort of reasonable plea agreement. Because you’re gonna go to jail. The only thing in question is how long.

I walked in to another mans apartment with my gun drawn and Shot the first person I saw.

It’s not my fault, it was a mistake

“...one of a series of high-profile killings of unarmed black men and teens by white US police,..”

Houston police don’t discriminate...they murdered that white couple and their dog awhile back.

Kemp denied a motion to exclude evidence from Guyger’s texts and phone calls...

That is an interesting tidbit.

She’d get a better deal just admitting her fault and accept the judge’s decision.
