A former Obama adviser set the stage for a potentially nasty confirmation fight in the Senate next year within an hour of the Supreme Court announcing Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg recently completed three weeks of radiation treatment after doctors found a localized cancerous tumor on her pancreas.

Ginsburg, who is 86, has battled various illnesses over the last 20 years. The Supreme Court said in a statement Friday that she “tolerated the treatment well" and concluded that there is no evidence of disease elsewhere in her body.

My reaction to that question was to immediately imagine myself under consideration for such high office. I have zero arrest record other than minor traffic stops and I don’t recall ever being the subject of a negative news story. I have only been mentioned in newspapers in two or three simple announcements such as joining the military upon high school graduation and starting a small business. I am well respected by those who know me but there is no doubt that within a week or less the left wing media could make me look like a demon from hell. The left will use anything they can without regard to truth or any other moral consideration. The right goes into the battle with both hands tied up.
If you listen to Mark Levin, who vetted Souter for Bush, you will see that Souter lied completely and totally deceived the conservative team created to ensure we get a constitutional originalist.
Without a documented track record, I would oppose nominating someone like you.

She survived pancreatic cancer? Before I read this, I assumed RGB would retire next year, since the Senate wouldn’t choose a Justice during the president’s last year. What reason did they give?

my wife is a nurse, and we’ve had several neighbors that have had pancreatic cancer. One is a good friend’s dad, she had to get up often in the night to give him a shot of morphine for the few weeks he had left. 2-3 months is a typical life span, and I have never seen a survival, they’re all underground.
She was made an exception because she holds power.
Immaturity and constant resort to threats and violence *may* result in a temporary rift, but A) the leftists like Axelrod will lose, and B) if they escalate to violent acts, the ultimate result will be their bodies floating down all the rivers until they reach the oceans.
