Overwhelming is the only word which properly describes the growing list of 2020 Presidential candidates vying to unseat Donald Trump. To date, there are the officially declared, the yet to declare, and a handful of teetering outliers. The outliers arent in the running per se, but in the event no Democrat is able to garner the party nomination, one of them might be persuaded to step up to the podium.
The Declared Candidates:Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Robert ORourke, Pete Buttigieg, Corey Booker, Amy Klobuchar, Andrew Yang, Julian Castro, Kirsten Gillibrand, Jay Inslee, Tulsi Gabbard, John Hickenlooper, John Delaney, Eric Swalwell, Tim Ryan, Wayne Messam, and Marianne Williamson.
So far, its a very crowded field of 18 people; some of whom have no national name recognition but are pandering for votes and shilling for campaign donations in unison. And therein lies the problem. While there is no clear frontrunner, there is a defined chasm of ideological differences: Socialism versus traditional Democrats. A far left sociopolitical demographic of the Democrat party has emerged and they are fierce. Furthermore, the once shared universal message for liberal voters has been set aside in favor of identity politics, giving rise to single-issue factions. And while the Democratic partys preeminent goal is removing Donald Trump from the Oval Office, unification of liberals will remain elusive and perhaps, philosophically impossible. Centrist Democrats have fled in numbers which cant be ignored and should one of the declared far-left candidates get the nomination for 2020, it will be challenging to lure moderate liberals back into the fold; especially in a time of economic prosperity and phenomenal job growth.
The Undeclared candidates: Joe Biden, Steve Bullock, Stacey Abrams, Michael Bennet, Terry McAuliffe, Seth Moulton, and Howard Schultz.

That Democrat candidate list is incorrect, and needs to be updated. Because my cat Mr. Whiskers announced over two weeks ago.
His slogan: “Cuter than Bernie. Smarter than Beto.”
The Dems are going Full McGovern/Mondale + CommieCare. It could be a 49 state blowout.
Add Andy Cuomo to the Outliars (damn spell check) list.
I picked Terry McAwful as President-Candidate and Michelle Obama as VPin 2020.
Maybe I should make it my tagline?
Out of that whole group, the one that scares me the most is Michelle Obama. If there is chaos at the convention (an almost certainty) and she stepped forward and was nominated as the unifying candidate I think she might be able to beat Trump.
Folks, don’t rip me on this. I’m just trying to foresee all the possibilities and this is the one that is scary.
Hillary is the one who will step forward
This tactic is intended to expand the list of democrat supporters. The theory is that each of 1000 candidates will develop a support base of new voters. To date they have garnered 10 million voters in all the lists combined. Unfortunately the grand total of new voters who love clown candidates is less than 1000 what with everyone signing up on every candidate’s list at least 10 times. Reportedly 90% of each candidate’s supporters are precinct captains.
It is going to be interesting.
I see no leader to pull together the fractured coalitions and prevent further disintegration of the party cohesion.
In mid-April 2015, there were 14 GOP contenders. The top 3 in the polls were Gov Scott Walker, Gov Jeb Bush, and Sen Marco Rubio. Sen Rand Paul was consistently in the top 5. Mr Trump hadn't announced yet....
APR 16-21 2015 Quinnipiac: Rubio 15, Jeb 13, Walker 11, Cruz 9, Paul 8, Christie 7, Huckabee 7
APR 18-20 2015 YouGov: Walker 15, Jeb 13, Cruz 11, Paul 11, Carson 10, Rubio 9, Christie 6, Huckabee 5
APR 16-20 2015 Ipsos Online: Cruz 18, Walker 14, Jeb 13, Carson 9, Rubio 9, Paul 9, Christie 7, Huckabee 7, Santorum 6
APR 16-19 2015 ORC: Jeb 17, Walker 12, Paul 11, Rubio 11, Huckabee 9, Cruz 7
Walker dropped out in OCT 2015. Jeb raised and spent $150m to get 3% in the opening Iowa Primary. Rubio stuck around the longest of the early contenders and still only finished 4th. Rand dropped after the second Primary, in NH, where he failed to top 1%.
In short, this is a long, long way from being decided.
(Future Pres Trump declared his candidacy on JUN 16, 2015. Gov Kasich was the last to join the party on JUL 21, 2015, and the last to leave, a day after Cruz conceded in JUL 2016.)
Excellent. That’s them
Thanks. This is what they have done in Chicago for at least a hundred years.
There is something very powerful behind the whole Jussie smollett saga. someone is being protected. an FOIA request document dump of various texts and emails is raising eyebrows.
It will never land on Michelle but some of the Dems may be get their power weakened in Chi Town.
