This morning, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez released an overview of her “Green New Deal” which threatens "a massive transformation of our society."
Below are the details of the proposal:
“Upgrade or replace every building in US for state-of-the-art energy efficiency.”
The Green New Deal is “a 10-year plan to mobilize every aspect of American society at a scale not seen since World War 2 to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.”
“It’s unclear if we will be able to decommission every nuclear plant within 10 years, but the plan is to transition off of nuclear and all fossil fuels as soon as possible.”
“Build out highspeed rail at a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary”.
“We believe the right way to capture carbon is to plant trees and restore our natural ecosystems. CCUS technology to date has not proven effective.”
“Ensure that all GND jobs are union jobs that pay prevailing wages and hire local.”
“We’re not ruling a carbon tax out, but a carbon tax would be a tiny part of a Green New Deal.”
“…Cap and trade may be a tiny part of the larger Green New Deal plan.”
No estimate of the total cost of implementing the Green New deal is offered by Ocasio-Cortez.
However, as Ocasio-Cortez admits, “even if every billionaire and company came together and were willing to pour all the resources at their disposal into this investment, the aggregate value of the investments they could make would not be sufficient.”
She does provide one estimate that the cost to “repair and upgrade infrastructure U.S. infrastructure” alone will cost “$4.6 trillion at minimum.”
Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t provide any insight into how the trillions of dollars in spending will be paid for other than claiming, “The Federal Reserve can extend credit to power these projects and investments and new public banks can be created to extend credit”. But as Ocasio-Cortez says, “the question isn’t how will we pay for it, but what will we do with our new shared prosperity”.

She wants us to do all this and libs tout her as a genius. Trump wants us to build a barrier for boarder security and libs call it idiocy.

My older brother is very worried about about this plan. He can out fart any cow and if they go after cows, he thinks people like him are next. Scary........

The media is so giving this little childish socialist air time with her ridiculous ideas.... she is getting on my last nerve. The men are taken with her looks/youth/smallvoice/enthusiasm... they are treating this young teenager better than they treat our President. and I am hugely offended!!

She uses what she has to ensnare the crowds... especially the men. When she won that night.... she put on the ‘aghast, I won??’ thing... and by giving her the attention she has not earned... she thinks she is even more valuable and more popular and able to do all this stuff that comes from her head.. the head she emptied and filled with trash... to sell to those who are dumb enough to hear her and believe her!
Yes, I don’t like her at all... Yes, I think she is dangerous.. Yes, the men are acting like suck ups who are willing to give her anything she wants... and she KNOWS IT!!

Next time you are at the bar think of your bartender making the most fundamental decisions to your personal life and your country as she (in this case)messes up your drink order,is slow,unapologetic and rude. Kotex was still slinging drinks and ripping off the tip jar not too long ago before given the keys to our country.
She is a perfect example why the Nineteenth Amendment should be repealed.

You could potentially cross the Atlantic with a train if you could accelerate it to sufficient velocity. The downside is that it might require purchasing an amount of energy equivalent to the national debt. The passengers would be squeezed to the thickness of a sheet of paper. Just a minor detail.
Nuclear energy is a big positive. You can toss in desalinization into the process from what I understand. California should have these plants up and down the coast.

Well, in a void, someone has to come up with new policy. The Republican Congress and Senate had two years to come up with great legislation. They went back to the locker room and took a knee.

She knows nothing about the wars and lives laid down on foreign land to preserve our freedoms here... she knows nothing about the fact if America had not been the greatest, the world would be under dominion of another... of which they would conquer instead of helping other nations.
We have given of our abundance... we have welcomed those from other lands.. legally... we have not ever sought to rule any other nation or people.
And they would have the money for all she is wanting to do.... but none for a wall!!
