Judge Brett Kavanaugh & Professor Christine Blasey Ford Testify
The Senate Judiciary Committee hears testimony from Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Professor Christine Blasey Ford about her allegations that Judge Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her while the two were teenagers.
She said she doesn’t remember who paid for poly?!
Who was it? The can always subpoena the polygrapher.
I assume he is there to imply she is under severe threat of violence by unhinged Trumpers.
Yes! I thought I’d seen her before!
Where is Colombo when we need him?!
People should not expect a lawyer to act like an actor playing Prosecutor on TV or the movie.. It is almost always far better to speak with a touch of gentle sadness, and adduce the facts that make your case. The shouting types do not get it. That is all right at a political rally or a school pep rally. It is far from likely to effectively make a point that is in dispute.
I have friends who are plaintiff personal injury lawyers. They have a stable of doctors who will give them any kind of medical report they need. My guess is the polygraph examiner was a guy who the attorneys knew would give the result the attorneys want.
I completely agree with you. A lot of people are criticizing Mitchell here because they want to see fireworks. They may see them yet, but right now she’s blown up Ford over the fear of flying, the polygraph, who spoke with in and out of Congress, and the location of the party. The only issue is does she have enough time remaining to really nail her.
I’m still stuck on her expressed disappointment that her (alleged 2-yr) friend Mark Judge didn’t return her cheery ‘hi there’ greeting at the safeway - 6 weeks after he allegedly ‘attacked’ her - really bummed her out - not the behavior of a traumatized person
These women voters that we might piss off are never gonna vote republican anyways!!!
I hope y'all are right. I had to step away for a short meeting; when I came back, they were vacating the room.
Even if she gives untruthful answers, the American people are unlikely to pick up on that.
Bret Baier just said Fraud's opening statement was "captivating."
And this is Fox. God knows what they are saying on the other stations.
So how much time do we have here, anyway? I heard 6-7 hours TOTAL, and we are 3 hours in.
Repubs either have something (Or know about something) or they are just appeasing a handful of undecided. Either way, Kavanaugh, if he gets in, will have this 1982 accusation over his head (Which doesn't matter anyway for his job), however, will be a perpetual campaign hammer for years to come for the dems.
That is the biggest problem in all of this (And not aggressively challenging the accusations), because this will happen again and again.

The talking heads on FBN, including attorneys, concur that Mitchell is failing miserably. “President Trump must be furious.” “Only Kavanaugh himself can fix this.”
I say give her the hook during lunch break and bring in a barracuda to replace her.
Shannen Breen interviewed the polygrapher last night. He said the lawyers paid for it.

Okay. So who’s paying the lawyers?
The polygraph guy, IIRC, said it was given in the morning. If that’s the case, then how could she have already gone and come back from the funeral?
I read that what brought on the need for therapy was when they remodeled their home and she insisted on 2 front doors.
