Bret Baier just said Fraud's opening statement was "captivating."
And this is Fox. God knows what they are saying on the other stations.
So how much time do we have here, anyway? I heard 6-7 hours TOTAL, and we are 3 hours in.
“Napolitano just said Mitchell is helping the Fraud with “the gentility of her questioning” and “hasn’t laid a glove on her.””
Well I would hope the time will come where the prosecutor will go on the offensive. Otherwise she will be a total waist of time. But before she could do that then she has to have Ford answer relevant questions. She has to gather ammo. And it is in the prosecutors best interest to not put Ford on the defensive at this time. Otherwise if might be more difficult to get Ford to answer questions.
But then this is not a prolonged trail, I wonder if there will even be time for the prosecutor to do her job. This kind of setting is not ideal. At what point in this setting does the prosecutor have an opportunity to do a final rebuttal using all of the evidence? I do not know. But it better happen.
Nikita Khrushchev's speech at the UN in 1960 was more captivating. At least he pounded his shoe on the desk.
