The woman accusing Judge Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault during a high school party nearly 40 years ago, Christine Blasey Ford, has given the Senate Judiciary Committee a list of demands she says must be met before she's willing to testify about the incident under oath.
According to Chairman Chuck Grassley's staff, these demands are non-starters.

Hallelujah! Now, let’s have a vote.
If Flake, Collins & Co. want to sink him let’s give them the opportunity. They can reap what they’ve sown at the ballot box.
Then get on with it. Vote now. Time for action. Words are worthless. Time to play hardball.
The only demand that made any sense to me in this setting was the one that Kavanaugh couldn’t be in the room.

You have the right to face your accusers.
I dont watch the news, so the article is the first Ive seen Attorbey Katz. Hot stuff. Hubba, hubba. Youd never think just by looking at her that shes a feminazi lawyer
Grassley is hiding.
These comments were made by staffers, not Grassley.
They do not want her to testify...they want to be able to say the GOP would not let this poor women testify
I explained last night that I wouldn't want him in the room just for political optics. There would be one camera trained on him for the entire time she was testifying, and all of the most unflattering clips and still shots would be used in the MSM reports afterward.
If he insisted on being there while she testified, I'd be OK with having him there.
Was Clarence Thomas in the room while Anita Hill testified? Probably not. In that case, though, I suspect it was because he simply didn't want to waste his time.
“If Flake, Collins & Co. want to sink him lets give them the opportunity. They can reap what theyve sown at the ballot box.”
The ones it puts pressure on are the Democrats up for reelection in Trump states.
Flake is done running for office. If he votes no its dead and he can write his own contract w the enemedia.
When you are representing an awful client who has no leg to stand on, you're sometimes forced to make the most ridiculous arguments as a lawyer.
These demands actually give me a lot of comfort -- because they indicate that Betty Ford's own lawyers know she's bat-sh!t crazy.
I’m pretty sure the gray lady, mother of all news outlets, the NYT, would be more than happy to spread the word. Probably already on someones computer waiting for them to hit the print button.
1. Is there going to be a hearing on Monday?
2. If so, will anyone make an appearance?
3. If note, will there be a committee vote scheduled?
This is not a criminal prosecution, so that’s not really relevant here.
Stop yapping and start VOTING.
Her demands that he testify first is a dead giveaway that its all a setup. All he has is that it wasnt him and have to defend accusations from news reports since he hasnt seen the Unredacted Letter or heard what she has to say publicly. She and her lawyers can then come right back and counter attack every point with madeup details to hint that hes lying and being deceptive
Flake does not care, he is not running.
That is exactly right. As far as the Left is concerned, Justice Thomas is a pervert, G.W. Bush stole the 2000 election, Hillary was the "real winner" of the 2016 election, and Brett Kavanaugh is a would-be rapist. They will never give up on those mantras. It's past time to stop worrying about what the Left (which includes the media) will say.
I think everyone knew this moonbat was never going to show up. The partisan wrangling over the last couple of days has been nothing more than an attempt to cast blame on someone other than Betty Ford as the reason for her failure to show up.
They were counting on the spineless GOP to cave — as they have so often in the past. I can imagine that if Trump were not shipping in replacement backbones to GOP members in Congress, they would have caved on this one too.
“They can reap what theyve sown at the ballot box.”
Unfortunately, Flake won’t be facing the ballot box. He decided not to run again when running below 20% in the polls. I call it unfortunate because A) as a constituent, I can’t pressure him, and B) the Republican running for his seat has been more liberal than he has! Although I do think she would be a solid vote for a conservative judge. Whatever else she is, she isn’t a flaming pro-abortion type.
