Ed Whelan concluded his tweetstorm saying, “To be clear, I have no idea what, if anything, did or did not happen in that bedroom at the top of the stairs, and I therefore do not state, imply or insinuate that Garrett or anyone else committed the sexual assault that Ford alleges. Further, if Ford is now mistakenly remembering Garrett to be Kavanaugh, I offer no view whether that mistaken remembrance dates from the gathering or developed at some point in the intervening years.”
Feinstein is refusing to give Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley the unredacted letter Christine Ford sent Senate Democrats in July further fueling suspicions there is exculpatory evidence in the letter.

Your political acumen is duly noted, but as soon as I saw Kellyanne Conway come out and make that very respectful and accommodating announcement about Ford on Monday I knew this was being handled by people who know the importance of covering all the political angles.
I watched in the 90’s as many Democrat women were excoriated and called every name in the book by the ‘First Lady’, because the women accused the ‘saintly’ Bill Clinton of much worse than the suggestion about Kavanaugh. I used to say to my Leftist friends ‘but these women are all Democrats’. They didn’t care. Now a Democrat woman has accused a Conservative Republican of ‘groping’ her 36 years ago, and he is the worst thing on Earth! Oh, the HYPOCRISY! But it doesn’t matter.The Lapdog Media reports whatever the Dems want reported......and nothing more. (Exhibit A-Keith Ellison’s former girlfriend’s allegations of abuse, which are being roundly ignored)

Spot on. All this shows is some on the Right can be as odious as the Left.
Time for someone to say it... She’s a slut. Threw her sloppy seconds at everyone in sight. Kavanaugh spurned her. She got bitter. Decided she hated all men and became a lesbo libber, and this is how she gets back at him all these years later. But any successful man would do to take out her revenge on. Kavanaugh was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sick of these bitter sluts and their fake charges.

The FBI's job is to investigate Federal matters. It's debatable whether the things nutjob Ford has described even rise to violations of state or local laws.
A kid trying to get a girl's top off, failing and quitting when she runs away doesn't even sound like sexual assault to me.
But how could any agency on earth investigate when she doesn't know when, doesn't know where, has no witnesses and has no physical evidence? Maybe the Maryland Bureau of Psychic Investigators could hold a seance and call up the past from a third of a century ago!?
