Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) described a pocket-sized version of the U.S. Constitution belonging to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh as “that book you carry,” on day three of the judge’s confirmation hearing.
Asking Judge Kavanaugh which unenumerated rights he would do away with, Harris said:
I’m going to ask you about unenumerated rights. You gave a speech praising former Justice Rehnquist’s dissent in Rhodes, there’s been much discussion about that, and you wrote, quote, celebrating his success, that ‘success in stemming the general tide of free-wheeling judicial creation of unenumerated rights,’ that is what you said in celebration of Justice Rehnquist. So ‘unenumerated rights.’ is a phrase that lawyers use, but I want to make clear what we’re talking about. It means rights that are protected by the Constitution even if they’re not specifically mentioned in the Constitution. They are not in that book that you carry.
Harris continued:
What we are talking about is the right to vote, that’s an unenumerated right, the right to have children. The right to have control over the upbringing of your children. The right to refuse medical care. The right to love the partner of your choice, the right to marry, and the right to have an abortion. Now, putting those unenumerated rights in the context of the statement that you made, which was to praise the stemming of the general tide of free-wheeling creation of unenumerated rights, which means you were, the interpretation there is you were praising the quest to end those unenumerated rights. My question to you is which of the rights that I just mentioned do you want to an end to or rollback?

How much do you want to bet that if (fat chance) she were on TV and was asked basic questions about the Constitution, you would get not one correct answer from her - plenty of indignance and attitude and outrage, but not one correct answer.

I’m surprised that Sen. Sen. Kamala Harris said no constitutionally enumerated right to vote.
Article I, Section 2, Clause 1: The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the several States [emphasis added], and the Electors in each State shall have the Qualifications requisite for Electors of the most numerous Branch of the State Legislature.
17th Amendment: The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, elected by the people thereof [emphasis added], for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote. The electors in each State shall have the qualifications requisite for electors of the most numerous branch of the State legislatures.
I had a look at legislature section of California constitution. Although parts of California constitution are hard to read imo, I’m sure there’s express language that reasonably implies right to vote, depending on mood of activist judges on a given day.

On second though since Sen. Harris is a post-17th Amendment ratification senator, what was I expecting?
Am I overlooking something, did I misread something, or did Sen. Harris really lower the bar?

NOPE-—Parents re from India & Jamaica.
Came to USA as students, met, fell in love, married & had Kamala.
However, NEITHER OF those parents had their USA citizenship until 5 or 6 years AFTER Kamala was born.
She is NOT a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN & is NOT ELIGIBLE to be POTUS, VP, of in any position where she could end up in the Oval office due to succession.
We fell into this messy trap with Obama. We CANNOT let it happen again in the USA.
She is already too strident to have in such a position, anyway.
I suspect that she cannot even read it.
