PREAMBLE

Sec. 13. Religious liberty.
All persons have a natural and inalienable right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own consciences, and no human authority shall, in any case whatever, control or interfere with the rights of conscience.
Sec. 35. Recurrence to fundamental principles.
A frequent recurrence to fundamental principles is absolutely necessary to preserve the blessings of liberty.
Sec. 7. Oath.
Before entering upon the duties of an office, a person elected or appointed to the office shall take and subscribe the following oath:
“I, _______________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and maintain the Constitution and laws of the United States, and the Constitution and laws of North Carolina not inconsistent therewith, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of my office as _______________, so help me God.”
Section 1. Education encouraged.
Religion, morality, and knowledge being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools, libraries, and the means of education shall forever be encouraged.
How is it again that the ACLU has the right to interfere with a states right issue as a county has to adhere to the states constitution ?
I think that a change in their procedures would allow for prayer. Here’s the ruling from last year that was appealed.

all of whom are Christian, to deliver religious invocations.
For years, the Rowan County Board of Commissioners has opened its twice-monthly meetings with
a prayer delivered by one of its five members. The prayers are “invariably and unmistakably
Christian in content,” according to the ruling, and a review of recorded meetings showed that
97 percent of the invocations mentioned “Jesus,” “Christ” or the “Savior.” Prayers also
occasionally implied Christianity was superior to other faiths, or proselytized by asking
attendees to accept the Christian faith.
In a 10-5 ruling, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Rowan County’s practice violated
the establishment clause of the First Amendment and exceeded the limits of Supreme Court-approved
legislative prayer.

So, as I understand it, the Chief Justice, John Roberts, won’t take the case?

America just got another nail in its coffin. The LORD God is going to pound this nation into the ground and it is not going to be pretty. We did it taking the Bible and prayer out of the schools. We didn’t have school shootings before that happened. With God removed from schools, Satan has easy access to do his wickedness. And the murders came full force. Now our courts approved the murder of the unborn. More shootings and murders followed. After every shooting they all cry why could God let something like that happen in the schools. Hey, God ain’t in the schools, you kicked Him out. America is going down the tubes. This nation has dug its grave. God is going to plant all those who pull this crap into those graves. It is the Lake of Fire for all unbelievers and wicked.
Once again the Anti-Christian-Litigation-Unit lives up to it’s name.
The left’s hatred for anything above the worship of the state. The left simply has no place for individual, God given, rights. If we can’t get the crooked lawyers and judges out of power, this course will never be diverted.
Perhaps those indivuduals in the Supreme Court are waiting until after President Trump’s picks two or 3 more Supreme Court appointments who are conservative strict constitionalists to hear this case in the future and make it a over whelming decision so that even the states can’t challenge it.

Separation of church and state is a creation of modern day activist judges. Any decision based on it is therefore flawed.
