Every service branch has their own official fight song (e.g. ‘Anchors Aweigh’, “Marine’s Hymn’). Any thoughts on the Space Fore fight song?

Agree, see my post 36
Downside is that the ‘space force’ will be the bastard step child of DoD. By that I mean they wont consist of ‘warriors’, rather they will be strictly an acquisition and support function. They will be less ‘manly’ than the coast guard (no offense to the coast guard here, I hold them in high regard as the 5th service) in that there is really no physical requirement and members will never have seen combat or even stormy weather. They really wont even have a need for having gone through a boot camp. They will be keyboard commandos and powerpoint rangers. Their function is crucial, but if the ranks are not populated by servicemen and women of the other branches, then they are likely to be looked at as ‘civilians’ in a uniform. “Rank” will be almost meaningless, compared with the assigned job. So while it makes sense in many ways, there would be this downside to still calling them DoD.

Boeing and SpaceX are supposed to test their spacecraft this year unmanned, with manned flights early in 2019. We’ll see about that.
Your graphic shows how relatively huge Orion is. Would be cool also, to add the Soyuz crew module to the comparison

NOT “fight song”.
They’re “war hymns”.

What would be the advantage of a manned military presence in space.
- Manned would be a lot more expensive.
- Manned would present much larger targets for the enemies.
- There's not really anything you can't control from ground. Communications take 1 millisecond.

How this will affect the US Air Force Space Command will be interesting, >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Hopefully it will keep earth bound every officer who had swallowed the Obama Kool-aid . They would want to sabotage anything initiated by President Trump, no matter how successful it would become.

I’ve heard them referred to as fight songs. But if want to go with war hymns, that’s fine.
