Hillary Clinton is striking back at critics telling her to shut up following her 2016 loss, saying, They never said that to any man who was not elected.
I was really struck by how people said that to me you know, mostly people in the press, for whatever reason mostly, Go away, go away, Clinton said Thursday during an event at Rutgers University.
And I had one of the young people who works for me go back and do a bit of research. They never said that to any man who was not elected. I was kind of struck by that, Clinton said.
Clintons remarks came in response to a question from Eagleton Institute of Politics director Ruth Mandel about the former Democratic presidential nominees reaction to those who say she should get off the public stage and shut up.
Im really glad that, you know, Al Gore didnt stop talking about climate change, Clinton said to applause.
And Im really glad John Kerry went to the Senate and became an excellent secretary of State, the former first lady continued. And Im really glad John McCain kept speaking out and standing up and saying what he had to say. And for heavens sakes, Mitt Romney is running for the Senate, Clinton said.
The 70-year-old ex-secretary of State has taken heat in recent weeks, even among some Democrats, for comments she made about Americans who voted for President Trump in the 2016 race.
"I won the places that are optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward, Clinton said earlier this month during a conference in India. And his whole campaign, Make America Great Again, was looking backwards.
I think it was a moment in time because what had been expected to happen in the election, which obviously did not, Clinton said Thursday. And then a lot of angst and second guessing and finger pointing and everything that went on.
SIT DOWN and SHUT UP!!!!
JEB!
Hillary, on the contrary, please keep shooting off your mouth with ill-conceived statements, opinions, and declarations that can be used verbatim in GOP ads.
Well, maybe most of them took the loss “Like a man”, but there have always been sore losers throughout history, most notably Al Gore in 2000, who “used to be the next President of the United States”.
Not everybody retires from the fray silent and stoic, a trait more often seen among Republicans than Democrats.
And definitely much more among conservatives than liberals.
Poor Hillary.
“They never said that to any man who was not elected.”
*************
Poor Hillary doesn’t understand they didn’t have to.
Have a drink, Hillary! You’re gonna get what you deserve by 2020
Hillary can’t take a direct hint, and as a result must have the last word (Only it won’t be). 8>)
As her mental faculties degrade and she swirls down into the depths, I hope she never STFU.
Ruth Buzzie should join John Paul Stevens and let loose with what she really feels.
Oh please Hitlary KEEP TALKING..you are the gift that keeps on giving..just keep talking and the Republicans might keep both houses in November..just keep running your fat trap
Watching her self-destruct is better than prison
From that perspective, yes, I agree with you.
But since she obviously hates being told to STFU and mind her place, I felt it was my duty to say so... :^)
That graphic is hilarious because it’s so true!
This woman is sick and getting sicker..
For whatever reason? The reason is they want a left-winger who might win, and not a two-time loser who was a big favorite to win in both cases.
Hillary, you disgrace yourself as a sniveling "victim". This GOPer, however, does NOT want you to "shut up". You are providing the world with an extremely accurate picture of just what an immature and Kafkaesque person you are; and what a scary president you might have been (but will never, ever be, thanks to your post-election whining - ha!)
That’s David Hogg in about 15 years.
