With Video ----------------------- Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) admonished Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) for accusing Republicans of writing the tax bill "for the rich" at a late night hearing on amendments and markups. "With all due respect, I get sick and tired of the rich getting richer," Brown said in a diatribe against Republicans. "I come from the poor people, and I have been here working my whole stinkin' career for people who don't have a chance, and I really resent anybody that says I'm doing it for the rich. Give me a break. I think you guys overplay all the time, and it gets old. And frankly, you ought to quit it," Hatch told Brown. "What you said was not right," Hatch continued. "I come from the lower middle class, originally. We didn't have anything. So don't spew that stuff on me. I get a little tired of that crap. Let me just say something. If we worked together, we could pull this country out of every mess it is in. We could do a lot of the things that you are talking about, too. I think I have had reputation for working together." "I like you very much personally," Hatch said to Brown. "But this bullcrap that you guys throw out here really gets old after a while. And then to do it right at the end of this is just not right."

I saw that this morning. Brown acts & looks like a college SJW & it’s a ridiculous look on a middle aged man. He seemed surprised at being blown out of the water ; )
No, he is considering it. He specifically said that if someone would commit that he approves of, then he will. Romney was assumed to be that choice but that Romney jumped the shark on Moore, the jury is still out. Romney that I now of has not made that commitment.
I stand corrected. Thanks.
You’re right, they always get a spine before elections.
Good God! Is Orin on testosterone therapy?
That’s not a backbone, that’s counting your Hatches before they chicken.
I'm not impressed that what winds Hatch up is anyone questioning the rich getting richer. Where was the passion about repealing and replacing Obamacare? About EVerify? About stopping and reversing the invasion of the US?
Hatch, Heller, Corker, Flake, Graham, Alexander, McCain, Murkowsky, Hoeven and Rubio all voted to abandon the rule of law and the surrender the country with Rubio’s Gang’s amnesty.
This is re-election theater.
He is retiring. Just an FYI.
Don’t count your Hatch before he chickens.
It's a game. The Dems don't hate the rich, and as a matter of fact they love them. The rich love them back as most rich people vote Dem.
It is Kabuki Theater where the Dems trash their favorite people to cover for everything they give them, as in a huge hunk of our tax money, and in return the Dems get money under the table and invited to all the great parties.
lol... that was pretty good.
Wish Hatch would have hammered him a bit more. Orrin grew up in Pittsburgh and worked in the steel mills as a young man. So did his father. Older brother was a B-24 gunner who died in combat during World War II. By contrast, Brown comes from a wealthy family, graduated from Yale and has been on the public teat for virtually his entire adult life.
Who knew Hatch had it in him? It’s about time someone talked back to the liars.
+1
Hatch must be up for re-election soon.
It’s the only explanation for his vestigial spine.
They don’t hate the rich. Most of the Rats in politics get very rich themselves. Their attacking of the rich is just part of their political strategy of stirring the pot of resentment so that the “poor” will keep voting for the Rats to protect them from the rich. For similar reasons, they like to stir up racial tension.
Fight On!
