Alabama voters want a candidate who will represent their state with honor -- and they think Doug Jones has strong moral character and Roy Moore doesnt....
Jones is up by eight points over Moore among Alabama likely voters, 50 percent vs. 42 percent, in a Fox News Poll conducted Monday through Wednesday evenings. His lead is outside the polls margin of sampling error (±3.5 percentage points). Nine percent are undecided or plan to vote for someone else.
Alabama voters decide who will fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions in a December 12 special election. Allegations of sexual misconduct against Moore broke November 9. He denies the accusations.
Support from women is the key to the Democrats advantage in this red state, as Jones is their choice by 26 points (58-32 percent). The gap grows to 49 points among women under age 45 (69-20 percent), and hes up by 11 among women ages 45 and over (51-40 percent). Jones even receives 19 percent support from Republican women (to Moores 68 percent).
Moore is preferred among white evangelical Christians by 53 points (73-20 percent), whites by 19 points (56-37 percent), and men by 12 (53-41 percent).
Theres more party loyalty among Democrats, as 91 percent back Jones compared to Moores 78 percent among Republicans.
Some 30 percent of Moores backers say they have some reservations about their candidate, while 19 percent of Joness supporters say the same.
The poll, released Thursday, finds a 15-point gap between the number of Alabama voters who think Jones has strong moral character (56 percent) and those who feel that way about Moore (41 percent). Plus, 85 percent among Democrats think Jones has strong moral character, while just 65 percent of Republicans say the same of Moore.

You are probably right.
Consulting ZabaSearch, there is no Delver Adams in Alabama.
But there is a Delbra L. Adams, 51, in Leesburg, a 22-minute ride from Gadsden.
You miss my point
People answering surveys are reluctant to indicate their own voter choice
Asking about a "neighbor" gives them a non threatening choice
with or without an actual neighbor.

It's also interesting that the same powerful interests that publicly supported Wilson (the owners of the major news media of the time, and the big bankers), also secretly supported and funded Roosevelt in order to split and draw away voters from Taft. Teddy Roosevelt was, in a sense, the original Ross Perot.
You are a troll who should be banned
You are on a campaign to negatively portray Moore
I have not looked but I suspect you were a nevertrumper
You’re working for someone now same way Bush groups and black republican groups and national Review bigot baiting groups seminar hit this site
No question
Nearly every hit job here on Moore is you
I don’t know anything about polling, but I don’t see how a question like that would garner useful data.
I’d probably be even less inclined to answer that question than a direct one about my own opinions.
There were several posts here on FR during the later stages of the election from Trump insiders about this...the “neighbor” question was key to non MSM poll data.
Well, I guess the people who do this professionally figure out what works.
But people are different, and I would probably take the question literally; and refuse to answer either way.
All I have done is posted an article about the allegations and a couple of polls. If I am to be banned for posting the news and polls about an upcoming election because you can’t bear to look at them, than go ahead.
You tinfoil hat is on too tight, though. Perhaps look before you make accusations. I have pro-Trump blog and had it during the campaign. As much as I would love to get paid to post here, that doesn’t happen.
I note you didn't post on the latest information regarding the FOX poll which shows the number bias.
Your goal is simply to cause defeatism in the FR readers.
Wrong. Unless something happens to me, I’ll show up here after the election.
I didn’t need to post that info because another poster already did.
People were very enthusiastic about candidate Trump
Did you watch any rallies.......or attend one....?
People are reluctant to state their true interests to a pollster
But given a "nonthreatening" alternative
like:...so who do you think your neighbor would vote for....would jump on this question and answer "Trump"
With all respect, I think you are somewhat naive, and misunderstanding of human nature.
I’m sorry, but as I’ve said, I don’t respond to polls at all. My enthusiasm for President Trump has been shared with nobody except my husband, in the privacy of our home; and here, with Freepers.
It’s become dangerous out there! Only during and since Obama’s term have I ever heard of peoples’ yard-signs being destroyed, cars being keyed because they have a sticker, &c.
My vote is nobody’s business but my own, and I’m not interested in talking with anonymous poll-takers. I think a lot of people feel like that, these days; and polls can’t be taken seriously. The pollsters are just going to have to come to terms with the fact that a lot of people are keeping counsel with regard to these issues.
Where are you?
Lets see how many posts you post with the polls showing Moore is ahead.
New articles showing Moore ahead, but nothing from pinkbell.
I hope to see you on pro-Moore articles.
LOL.
