Recommendation? Need a Really Comfortable Travel Car, Think Sofa, With Wheels.
Recent car history Mazda MPV 1998 back when it was a great vehicle Xterra Golf TDi Jeep Sahara Unlimited
Now I need a travelin' car. I would keep the Jeep but it is too noisy.
Stopped in at a Volvo dealership and tried a s60, too stiff a ride for long trips and not comfortable seats.
Any recommendations for a really comfortable car? Just for me and perhaps one other passenger and our luggage?
I am thinking of a 2015 or 2016. All wheel drive would be nice. A little retro would be fine too.
Any ideas?

Take it from the Sport Ute Girl. The Honda Pilot is hands down the most comfortable, useful car I have owned. Durable, holds up forever, comes in a four wheel drive option. I just rolled 100K on mine and have had no trouble whatsoever.
From what I’ve read, generally, a car with a longer wheelbase rides smoother.
There is also a car maker that has pothole mitigation technology, but I can’t remember which company it is.
The most comfortable travel car I’ve ever owned or ridden in was a BMW 7-Series. I bought mine when it was 10 years old, but it’s the car I would buy new if I won the lottery.
But, BMW means “Break My Wallet”.
My friend just got one and she loves it. I don’t need all that room anymore.
Get the heated leather seats. It's not just for cold weather, the heated seats will reduce backache on long drives.
Also, get the adaptive cruise control; the car speeds up and slows down based on the surrounding traffic so you don't have to keep your foot hovering over the pedal.

1968 Cadillac DeVille Convertible- $35k
An ocean liner on wheels complete with two full sized leather sofas. First class all the way. Speaking of ocean liners it likely has a roughly comparable fuel economy and turning radius. But it’s 5,000 lbs of good old fashioned American steel from the glory days of American cars... and it’s a Cadillac.

Was that a Mazda 3?
AWD Dodge Challenger with the Hemi.
They are very spacious, at least the front seat Cabin.
I’m very comfortable in my Challenger and I’m 6’2”, 250 lbs.
Just don’t go anywhere near an Antifa Riot.
well obviously the “sofa with wheels” concept was not just mine alone!
I have never been in a Cadillac I didn’t like.
Not ready for the hearse yet.
That is one ride that doesn’t have to be comfortable.
Yup, four body trunk.
Chevy Suburban. Luxury cars are quiet but they are all going to stiffer suspensions. The Chevy with highway tires is going to be your best bet
Easy...................
You are suggesting a MOTORCYCLE????
38K that is a good buy!
Aspencades are pretty plush, too.
We bought a Toyota Rav4 last fall. We love it. Took a road trip to visit my folks and it was perfect.
