Recommendation? Need a Really Comfortable Travel Car, Think Sofa, With Wheels.
Recent car history Mazda MPV 1998 back when it was a great vehicle Xterra Golf TDi Jeep Sahara Unlimited
Now I need a travelin' car. I would keep the Jeep but it is too noisy.
Stopped in at a Volvo dealership and tried a s60, too stiff a ride for long trips and not comfortable seats.
Any recommendations for a really comfortable car? Just for me and perhaps one other passenger and our luggage?
I am thinking of a 2015 or 2016. All wheel drive would be nice. A little retro would be fine too.
Any ideas?

I drive a 2003 Lincoln Town Car.
Sofa with wheels...................
They don’t make them anymore?
Pretty car. Looks comfortable.
Can’t beat the old Wagon Queen Family Truckster.
What is a Wagon Queen Family Truckster?
Subaru Outback or Forester.
We just got an Outback. It’s comfy, lots of cool safety features with Eyesight, and all wheel drive, and reasonably priced.
Cramped drivers seat if over 6’
Ford Taurus.
Fits the bill; however, those Townies and Continentals have a terrible turning radius.
Hyundai Sonata.
With heated seats.
Lease a new one—the 2018s have just come out.
I am 5’2”
My feet have to reach the pedals.
Nope, but there are many to be found still.
Literally the ‘little old lady’ car.
Soft ride, good stereo, fairly good on gas 24/17, depending on your foot, all the bells and whistles, HUGE trunk................
sort of.
not plaid.
A Crown Victoria would be a nice ride. My 1975 Monte Carlo was a nice ride. A full grown man could stretch out across the back seat. Not that I ever joined him.

Lexus. What Cadillac should have become. New start around $40k, but great as used cars too. New ones have great back seats.
No romance or excitement, just bullet-proof, long distance comfort.
Don’t give in to the naysayers.
