The man accused of ramming his car into protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Saturday seems to have already been found “guilty” by the media… but there may be more to the story than is being reported.

A video posted on Streamable reveals that the driver of the Challenger had slowed down and was apparently calm, until protesters hit his vehicle with a blunt object such as a baseball bat or large flag pole.

I've been saying for days that it will be very difficult to make any criminal charges stick in this case -- especially a murder charge.

There are just way too many things here that add up to a large pile of "reasonable doubt" evidence.

To be clear, the driver of the car must be held accountable for their actions. A young woman was left dead and others were injured, and that incident is extremely serious.

To be clear, the leftist protestors should be held accountable for their actions. After the car hit the crowd, the leftists swarmed the car from behind, hitting the car with bats and other objects before getting run over when the car backed up. One young woman hitting the car from behind was run over when it backed up - she wouldn't have been hit if she were not attacking the car. Was she the one who died? You do stupid things, you can die.

Why was he driving toward those people to begin with?

At this point, even if the guy is fully cleared, it won’t matter. The left and the faithless Republicans (just about all of them) will still have the knives out for President Trump. Fortunately he is a strong guy who is unlikely to give up.

I hope he considers running as an independent in 2020 — even if they impeach and convict him.

The biggest point in the guy's favor is that everyone who he hit in his car was in the street. It doesn't mean he's legally entitled to run them over, but it sure adds an element of culpability to the victims.
