Lubbock was the only Texas city. Not sure why. It's a nice west Texas farm town.

There’s something peculiar with the criteria, because little Gastonia, North Carolina is the only NC city on there, while notably bad Durham is not.

We’re number one! I was born in Highland Park, just outside of Detroit.

Hard to believe that Phoenix isn’t in the top 50. Guess they’ll have to try harder.

Chicago’s not on the list? I guess record body counts are a positive.

I see, Milwaukeestan, WI made the list; and I would expect no less!

I grew up in Milwaukee in the 1960’s. I’m not kidding you, we could SAFELY play outside until the street lights came on; no one was shooting at us! ALL PARENTS, up and down the block, meted out discipline as needed, LOL!

My old neighborhood was all 2nd Generation German, Swedish, Norwegian, Bohunks, etc.

The same neighborhood is now 100% Hispanic, but I give them credit - it’s NOT a dump, they’ve kept it up!

However, head further towards the lake and it’s a War Zone. I have one Auntie that still lives there. I can’t believe she’s made it into her 70’s in the neighborhood she lives in.

The rest of us fled by the 1970’s. Our parents saw the writing on the Socialist Wall...

I'd question the criteria of any survey which ranks Baltimore only #14. What are they smoking to rank Philadelphia (#42) ahead of Salt Lake City (#32)? And Los Angeles and Oakland aren't even on the list!

Lubbock may get bad marks only because it is relatively isolated and tornado prone, but it baffles me why they would make the list otherwise. There isn't anything wrong with isolation if you have everything you need.

It’s also boring as hell, there’s nothing to do there, their internet connectivity sucks, and anywhere to actually do anything is way more than an hour’s drive away.

Oh, and it’s eight billion degrees in Lubbock in the summer while sometimes being colder than Hell, MI in the winter. Not kidding about the latter.

Someone paid them to not include NYC on the list.

These reporters/analysts are just people who go out to the nearest bar after work and pound them down. They are no better at stats than anyone of us.

Criteria seems a bit odd. I haven’t been there but Tuscon doesn’t seem in the same category as simepl like Camden, but then what do I know.

It was terribly hurt by mining and oil regulations, greatly increasing unemployment.

The people in Lubbock are conservatives. Is that counted as undesirable?
