I just watched it once and it sounded like the dope fired several mags and then his firing ceased and what sounded like three round auto bursts started. After a few seconds of the second weapon there is silence and several people are on the field attending to the man down. Have to assume that the shooter was by then neutralized.
Some real idiots walking around behind an open vehicle door, as though that would stop a bullet.
At the end, it sounds like pistol fire instead of that of a rifle. Probably the Capitol police returning fire. Rifle sounds like an AR.
I had to chuckle at the quote at the end...

The guy in red shorts was just standing there ..could have been shot.
Interesting that you couldn’t hear the dog bark. I think I saw a dog. My dog would either be barking like crazy or shivering and whining.
I keep praying for Scalise. Imagine what he was going through laying out there on the field as all the shooting was going on and he is bleeding to death.
I hate to say this, but it is necessary because I know a lot of Rambos. If you carry concealed, watch this video and realize something very important. If you skin your piece and jump into the fray in a situation like this, the cops will burn you down immediately!

In May, comedian Kathy Griffin apologized for a photo where she held a mask of a bloody, severed Trump head after a major backlash where CNN cut ties with her. More recently, a production of Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar” depicted a Trump-like figure who was assassinated. The president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., on Twitter highlighted another user’s tweet that said, “Events like today are EXACTLY why we took issue with NY elites glorifying the assassination of our President,” soon after shots were fired at Republican congressmen during a baseball practice.

How did he get to the ballfield...did he drive? Taxi? How did he get from Illinois to DC? And how long has he been in DC? And of course, how was this guy from Illinois knowledgeable about the time and location of this practice?
I agree. I was thinking about the guy behind the trash can. If I had been there I would be trying to make sure that they knew I had nothing to do with it as the police are firing off shots.

You wonder what the real goal was, in that he fired so many shots and yet didn’t advance on people and outright kill them.

The shooter’s Facebook friend, Brack Stovall, manages the the James M. Duncan Branch of the Alexandria, VA Library - about a mile from the site of the shooting... His wife said he’d been living in Arlington foe 2 months
