Yikes.
You wonder what the real goal was, in that he fired so many shots and yet didn’t advance on people and outright kill them.
It seems he could have taken out so may more.
Why didn’t he? Just plain strange.

He was just rabbiting off shots after his first couple of rounds fired: people take cover and make it hard to hit them within seconds in a firefight. All of those following shots were just making noise/endangering unwarned bystanders hundreds of feet away.
The idiot just hung around waiting for the police to kill him, marking his position for them by continuing to shoot, which was considerate of him.

Approximately 66 shots as near as I could count. I had about the same count, although a few of those sounded like more than one shot at the same time. Multiples could push the count to 69 or 70 after the recording started. Presumably there was some rapid shooting before that also.
