“I’ve known about Mr.Trumps Germophobia for many years.”

Me, too. That’s why when the (fake) news came out about him being connected with “golden showers” I KNEW it couldn’t possibly be true.

CNN has no shame.

You would think after CNN got caught giving debate questions to Hillary before the debates they would reign in their hatred of Trump and traditional Americans for a little while. But no, they’re waaaay to tacky for that...

They didn’t wear them to go grocery shopping or down to the garden shop, but they did to go to the department stores.

Yep. I remember that well. Shopping downtown was a special outing in those days. Mom even made us kids clean up when she'd take us along.

Trump would fly home to New York rather than sleep in strange beds on the road. That’s a tip-off... the germophobia thing’s true. And it makes this fake news story an obvious lie. You’re right on this MayflowerMadam.

Refreshing? Absolutely but not greates communicator

No one can seriously compare Trump to Reagan, but Trump is way more effective. Just a fact and I loved Reagan and his wisdom, but he let Congress bully him even when he had both Houses at the beginning.

Obviously Trump could not fly home to his own bed from Moscow.

But he is smart enough to know that every minute you are in that country the Russians are watching, and trying to compromise you.

You only wore “slouch clothes” to do yard work (maybe not even then if it was the front yard) or to lounge around the house if you were sick, lol. Even kid’s play clothes were actually fairly presentable by comparison to what is routinely worn out in public today. A great deal more pride in appearance then, versus now.

Obama doesn’t realize that former presidents have little influence and zero power

I've been wondering that, myself, while watching the "Obama Victory Tour". Sez me, I don't think that he understands that in less than two weeks, he's not in charge anymore.

His opinion counts exactly the same as yours and mine. One vote.

The history major in me cries out for historical accuracy. Reagan NEVER had control of both Houses during his Presidency. He had the Senate at times. Amazing what he accomplished given that it all had to get through a Democrat House led by Tip O'Neill.

Before the 70s, people used to wear gloves in public. Especially women.

Did you leave off the 18 in the 70s?

Yet, the media pukes will have their mics in his face every chance they get, and he’ll welcome it, just to run his mouth, to criticize Mr. Trump and this new administration. You wait and see, mark it down. We’ll never get rid of this dufus, nor her whose name cannot be mentioned and her rapist husband.

That one question turned the electorate against Michael Dukakis because of his dispassionate reply.

Well this didn't help either.

But I remember that question well, priceless.

We grew up in a better place, my friend. Americans long for the country they remember, and that's why Trump won.

I've mentioned to my kids, now and again, that we had different sets of clothes for specific activities when I was a kid. We had school clothes, play clothes, and dress clothes. Its nearly a foreign concept to today's kids.

Remember shining your school/dress shoes, and ironing your shirts and slacks? And heaven help you if you were caught with your shirt tail out on campus.

I actually liked shining my shoes. Such a clean smell.

“... Reagan ... let Congress bully him even when he had both Houses ...”

Absolutely not true.
From 1981-1987 the R’s barely had the Senate and the D’s had the House.
From 1987-1989 the D’s had both.

I remember the 70’s. It was gloves and a bonnet every sunday and men wore hats up until about ‘73.

You just had to be in the right social circles.
