There was a time when people like Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, and Erick Erickson were powerful voices within the Conservative movement. That was BT or Before Trump, when most American Conservatives were asleep at the wheel and operating on status quo neo-conservative autopilot, completely unaware that the maverick radio voices we hailed as rebels, were actually globalist shills-for-hire.
The silent majority was silent because we were napping, however, Trump has awakened the slumbering giant and were hip to the globalist trick played upon us by so-called radio conservatives, politicians, media, and pundits, who subtly pepper falsehoods like, amnesty is good, trade is fine, debt is just part of life, and nation building is patriotic throughout their schtick.
Yes, the slumber is over and the alt right is gleefully humming a tune commonly blasted at Trump rallies.
Were not gonna take it .Anymore.
One result of this awakening, is the downfall of several once powerful radio voices men whose egos are so immense and selfish that the very essence of their global schtick TRUMPED ethics, honesty, and common sense.
They all have one thing in common they each made the same mistake on the way to Irrelvence Island.
They joined NeverTrump.
Glenn Beck
Crazy Glenn Beck spent over half a million of his own dollars to try and get Ted Cruz elected. However, in the end all the money, fasting, and nazi-namecalling added up to a big fat zero. Cruz failed, NeverTrump never mattered, and Becks media empire crumbled (like a plate of crushed Cheetos).
Ben Shapiro
Once revered as the future voice of conservatism, Ben Shapiro was a beacon of hope within the conservative movement. However, everything changed for Ben when he decided to go NeverTrump and throw his career out the window to defend proven liar, Michelle Fields (see stories here, here, and here).
Erick Erickson
The moment Erick Erickson started bashing Trump two things happened. Firstly, he started resembling a thumb and secondly his career fell apart. Erickson went from being hailed as a powerful voice of conservatism to huffing and puffing all over Twitter, bitching about Trump with fellow NeverTrump dropkick Rick Wilson (another talentless hack who looks like a thumb).
Mark Levin
During the GOP primary we discovered that Mark Levin will support anyone as long as they promise to buy his dumb books. Levin went on a screaming-mimmy tirade for the last 3 months of Ted Cruzs race to loserville, bashing Trump and proudly stating he was NeverTrump. Since then, Levins ratings have tanked.
Hugh Hewitt
Hugh Hewit looks like a cross between Phil Donahue, George McFly, and Justin Bieber. His claim to fame was trying to trip Tump up with a gotcha question about some preposterously unknown faction of the Iraqi Army. Since then hes spent his time on the radio looking for ways to help Hillary and losing listeners.
Honorable mentions go to Rush Limbaugh and Dana Loesch. Rush has never gone full dumbo and declared himself NeverTrump, although his actions have us wondering. On the other hand, dopey Dana claims shes not a NeverTrumper (she is) however, she warns us that mean Trump supporters may push her there.
Mark Belling (Milwaukee radio) is for Trump.
At first he was for his Governor Walker, naturally. He’d known and supported Walker for years. After Walker left, I forget who Belling was for, maybe Rubio. Belling hesitated over Trump, but is now fully supporting Trump.
Sometimes Mark Belling is confused with the other “Marks” in radio, such as Mark Davis.
“You need to start listening...Rush will happily destroy Trump if he thinks he wont hurt his $$$ game.
I disagree. I have been listening to Rush frequently in recent weeks, and I hear him being very supportive of Trump and very clear in his attacks on Hillary.”
He also puts on callers to do his dirty work. He had on some caller who said Trump was in cahoots with Hillary. Rush used to give that a lot of credence early on. Now that it is obvious, Trump can’t stand Hillary, Rush uses his audience to promote this theory,
Hmm why to you suppose Michael Savage is down so much in second quarter??
You are NOT listening...that’s wishful thinking. Limbaugh is tepid at best about Trump and still whining that Trump is ‘’all we’ve got’...Screw Limbaugh.
Never listened to Levin, I didn't like the yelling, I love Sean, he fair...sometimes when Savage is talking history I like to listen to him, but other than that, nope; and when Rush fell off the head of the pin, it was all over for me...nope not ever again!!! (IMHO: Rush wants Hillary to win so he has information to fill his program with, like he did with Bill)...
As far as T.V. I have rabbit ears, once local news is over, back over to PBS for English movies till bed time...
Last WEEK, that thread got 67 posts in 5 days.
I know; He's killed off his FR audience with his stubborn, misguided insanity.
If that's indicative of his current radio audience, the man has committed career stupid-cide. But more than that, Levin was a conservative icon. He won't ever get back that rep again.
If you heard Rush’s show last Friday, you would have assumed he was full-bore Never Trump.
Rush jumps on and off that Trump bandwagon with great ease.
“Mark Belling (Milwaukee radio) is for Trump.”
I listened to him and he said he’s for Trump because that’s who we are stuck with. Belling was for Rubio, which means he’s an open border traitor. Belling is just climbing on the Trump train to keep you in line.
Ironic that his media mentor and person who gave Levin his “The Great One” moniker — Sean Hannity — winds up as the TRUE “Great One” for going all-IN for Trump, exposing Cruz as an infantile phony, AND calling out the NeverTrumpers and GOPe saboteurs like Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell.
THANK YOU, SEAN HANNITY! You are a man of great integrity, wisdom, courage, and true patriotism. God bless you!
I wonder if there’s a personal element in Rush’s attitude toward Trump.
Did Trump somehow snub Rush in Palm Beach in the past?
On his show Rush will talk about going to the Breakers (and married there), but rarely if at all about going to Mar-A-Lago. (Rush did mention playing golf with Trump, but I don’t recall him saying what course.)
Rush is being coy, devoting plenty of his air time to the media attacks on Trump. Rush is subtly reinforcing the attacks as he pretends to talk about the media, Obama, and the dems. Rush repeats the words, quoting no one in particular, "Trump is a reprobate," "Trump is an idiot," "Trump is going to drop out." It's like subliminal messaging, or at best, it could be demoralizing for Trump supporters.
Rush is definitely not defending Trump, and he isn't spending as much time discussing all of Hillary's problems.
Are you implying the possibility that Levin, Shapiro, the nutty Beck, etal have sold out for their 30 pieces of silver? (Not that I wouldn't consider the possibility.)
The establishment is fully committed to giving away our country and they will not allow us to stop them.
Without a doubt the case. The "New World Order" is NOT a "tinfoil" concept, nor ever was. Now that we're shoved at the edge of the cliff, it's a bit late in the game for the formerly bamboozled GOPe supporters of Bush etal to push back. Shame.
Yep I'm done with Levine, too.
“With all his criticisms, I have heard Levin say he may very well vote for Trump”
They’ll all vote for Trump. So will a lot of people on Election Day just won’t admit it. The point is that his radio show is nothing right now. There’s no purpose. No humor. The ugly hatred comes through I dare say the same about Rush. While ironically Hannity is happy and full of energy.
They had an ad on last night saying he is the number one radio program in his time spot. His competition I guess would be Medved on 920am. He’s more whiny about Trump than Erikson is.
Rush is smooth,,,
Bashes Trump with “air quotes.”
The biggest disappointment of the bunch is Mark Levin.
I was in the Air Force in the 1970s, Minot AFB. SAC.
B52's on alert; uploaded with nukes ready to go. Tankers
on alert ready to fly somewhere to refuel B52's. I remember
those times working on those planes.
Now I wonder if even the land based missile force is functional.
I guess we can thank Obama and his Democrats along with all
of the collaborating, reach across the aisle Republicans.
