He also puts on callers to do his dirty work. He had on some caller who said Trump was in cahoots with Hillary. Rush used to give that a lot of credence early on. Now that it is obvious, Trump can’t stand Hillary, Rush uses his audience to promote this theory,

I wonder if there’s a personal element in Rush’s attitude toward Trump.

Did Trump somehow snub Rush in Palm Beach in the past?

On his show Rush will talk about going to the Breakers (and married there), but rarely if at all about going to Mar-A-Lago. (Rush did mention playing golf with Trump, but I don’t recall him saying what course.)

Yes, that's true. I'm glad to see we're getting more sophisticated and understanding the tricks of the trade.

As far as the Trump/Clinton conspiracy theory, it's actually Rush who stands to benefit from a Hillary presidency. The Clinton presidency made Rush back in the 90's. It sure would make his job a lot easier if Hillary is president. If Trump is elected, he'll be forced to spend the next 4 years feigning support.
