Donald Trump's campaign believes it has the support of enough delegates to prevent a convention coup next month in Cleveland, and is building an expansive team to make sure of it.
The campaign's whip team, as first reported by Politico and outlined in interviews with multiple Trump strategists involved in the effort, includes 150 paid staffers and volunteers that will act as a direct line to delegates at the Republican National Convention.
Trump's team insists it's not a direct response to the growing grassroots effort to change the convention rules to make it easier to oust Trump as the party's nominee the whip team, one operative said, is focused on laying the groundwork for "a unified convention, which shows how presidential Mr. Trump can be."

I wonder if after he's elected, the Pubs will reform, or if a new party will form, the American Party for example, to carry the torch.
Cruz bored the socks off everyone who wasn’t sucked in by his drone routine.
Look for his backers to move on to Paul Ryan.
Hope he gets primaried.
Nigel Farage was really having fun..
Not so wrong. Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson blazed a trail of sanity and freedom tonight.
It’s hard to say when the voters won’t dump Paul Ryan in Wisconsin, McConnell in Kentucky, or John Cornyn in Texas, making reform impossible for years out.
No arrangement is immune to corruption and money interests, but TRUMP could make a party start up. He really has already.
No apology required.:) Great news, isn’t it! Just shows the citizens of the UK are as fed up with the elite Globalists as we are!
plan on quitting the party if trump is defeated because the reason for losing will be the betrayal of the party by the neoconservatives and the globalists in the party. if trump loses it will be there fault... they were the one who claimed that trump had no loyalty to the republican party and tried to get him to swear his support for who ever the nomination was. trump refused out of principle and almost every candidate swore they would support the winner thinking there was no way trump would win. I am done with supporting this party because I don’t believe that they are governing in the best interest of the people. I have watched as they have colluded with the democrats to destroy the tea-party movement. I have watched as they blamed Sara Palin for the failure of McCain. I have watched as they destroyed the pay of anyone working in the tech field with the foreign worker visa program. I have watched as they have destroyed wages in every field of work in this country by letting the democrats that govern individual cities ignore the law when an illegal alien comes to there attention.
"AND SO TO BED".
Cheerio, lots of fun tonight! Love you all!

My thoughts exactly.
At first, I thought Trump was a clown, but then I started listening to him and liked what I heard - a LOT. At about the same time, I started to get very disenchanted with Cruz. Once Cruz lost Super Tuesday, he went off the rails.
Trump...or we lose our nation. He will turn out to be one of the best Presidents ever, a gift from G-d to defeat the corrupt, immoral, America-hating globalists.
I think TRUMP wins. I really do.
But, you nailed a lot of the facts around us.
We learned this delegate business is not necessary and can be treacherous. That needs to go if they can overturn the victor for sour grapes, over the outcome.
Why vote?
We are witnessing an epic showdown of good versus evil when it comes to a sovereign USA versus a Satanic globalist agenda.
I don’t think it is the “Cruz” delegates any more.
It IS the “repubbie” superdelegates and party elite (who are “Cruz selected” by the primary voters) who have to vote Cruz first ballot, but who do not really want Cruz either.
And I am not too sure Cruz is responsible for this shitte either - though he “could” stop it by withdrawing formally.
At my county GOP convention, the pressure against Trump was from the people already in office, already in power and from the chair, not from the floor.)
That troubles me.
But if the convention goes to the elite - they will NOT select him either. Ryan is the Romney-Bush-Washington team’s preference.
Because he’s on board with them.
Maybe he's hoping to get confused with the Viking god of thunder.
They sure would be foolish to do so. May the Lord have mercy on their souls.
Glenn Beck has gone full OCD against Trump. His sidekicks Pat & Stu are following him off the cliff; I thought they were smarter than that.
He still signs their paychecks.
Go Trump!!!
I hope that they are successful.
That is the purpose of the GOPe trying to replace Trump as the nominee. They want Hillary to win.
