It could never happen here, right?
Boston National Guard units seeking to confiscate a cache of recently banned assault weapons were ambushed by elements of a Para-military extremist faction. Military and law enforcement sources estimate that 72 were killed and more than 200 injured before government forces were compelled to withdraw.
Speaking after the clash, the Massachusetts Governor declared that the extremist faction, which was made up of local citizens, has links to the radical right-wing tax protest movement.
The Governor blamed the extremists for recent incidents of vandalism directed against internal revenue offices. The governor, who described the groups organizers as criminals, issued an executive order authorizing the summary arrest of any individual who has interfered with the governments efforts to secure law and order.
The military raid on the extremist arsenal followed wide-spread refusal by the local citizenry to turn over recently outlawed assault weapons.
The Governor issued a ban on military-style assault weapons and ammunition earlier in the week. This decision followed a meeting in early this month between government and military leaders at which the governor authorized the forcible confiscation of illegal arms.
One government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, pointed out that none of these people would have been killed had the extremists obeyed the law and turned over their weapons voluntarily.
Government troops initially succeeded in confiscating a large supply of outlawed weapons and ammunition. However, troops attempting to seize arms and ammunition met with resistance from heavily-armed extremists who had been tipped off regarding the governments plans.
During a tense standoff in the Lexington town park, National Guard Colonel Francis Smith, commander of the government operation, ordered the armed group to surrender and return to their homes. The impasse was broken by a single shot, which was reportedly fired by one of the right-wing extremists.
Eight civilians were killed in the ensuing exchange.
Ironically, the local citizenry blamed government forces rather than the extremists for the civilian deaths. Before order could be restored, armed citizens from surrounding areas had descended upon the guard units. Colonel Smith, finding his forces over-matched by the armed mob, ordered a retreat.
The Governor has called upon citizens to support the state/national joint task force in its effort to restore law and order. The governor also demanded the surrender of those responsible for planning and leading the attack against the government troops. Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and John Hancock, who have been identified as ringleaders of the extremist faction, remain at large.
And this fellow Americans, is how the American Revolution began, April 20, 1775.

Sam Adams, Paul Revere and John Hancock would NEVER carry cell phones today or they wouldn’t remain at large for long. Too easy to track.
Maybe this also explains why “they” want a cashless society? Transactions done with plastic are easy to track; cash, not so much.
By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to Aprils breeze unfurled,
Here once the embattled farmers stood,
And fired the shot heard round the world.
The foe long since in silence slept;
Alike the conqueror silent sleeps;
And Time the ruined bridge has swept
Down the dark stream which seaward creeps.
On this green bank, by this soft stream,
We set to-day a votive stone;
That memory may their deed redeem,
When, like our sires, our sons are gone.
Spirit, that made those heroes dare,
To die, and leave their children free,
Bid Time and Nature gently spare
The shaft we raise to them and thee.
faux news
I have always liked the story of Samuel Whittemore, who exemplified bravery and a fighting spirit along with a lot of luck.
"On the north side of the road the British encountered 80-year-old Samuel Whittemore. A onetime captain in the Royal Dragoons, Whittemore had a musket, two pistols and a saber. He was crouched behind a stone wall behind Coopers Tavern at the junction of the road to Medford when flankers from the 47th Regiment came upon him. Whittemore killed one with his musket and emptied both pistols at the rest, killing or wounding at least one more soldier before being shot in the face. Militiamen around him fled as enraged British soldiers bayoneted Whittemore 13 times. Incredibly, he survived to live another 18 years."

Put your hand in a wolverine’s den & see what happens

That is the intended result when government runs the schools that were initially set up to educate our children on things such as American History and Economics.
The past 50 years has produced at least two generations of dullards who wish nothing more than to suckle at the government teat. May their chains rest lightly on them as they kneel to lick the hand of their overlords.
Heed Thomas Jefferson's words on that subject.
It was featured last week on the Fox News program Legends and Lies. It is a series discussing events that made America and detailed interaction of the founding fathers.
Thank God above for those brave men! :)
Always happy to see a fine Zappa reference on FR!
Who are the Brain Police?
Fifty years later, I think we now know.
Top priority targets are THOSE WHO GIVE THE ORDERS, whether in the field or sitting in an office somewhere.
I got that album when I was about 12 years old. I had ordered from the Columbia Record Club (remember those, get 12 albums for 10 cents scams?)
Part of the deal was if they didn’t have the album you requested, they would send you an alternate selection.
Some unknown employee (to whom, now that I think about it, I owe a debt of eternal thanks) send me “Freak Out”
Fine choice! It must have been amazing to hear that in ‘66.
“More Trouble Every Day” is still as relevant today as it was back then.
It is a shame that I have never heard that on the air.
As Edmund Burke said: "Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it."
Unfortunately, it is also true that: "History is written by the victors."
The socialists were victorious in seizing academia many decades ago, and they've been busy rewriting history and dictating the curriculum ever since.
