CNN’s Don Lemon snapped at Trump supporter Kayleigh McEnany for accusing media of shifting focus away from radical Islamic terrorism and toward guns.
After reading McEnany a ruling from PolitiFact, which said Trump had falsely represented Hillary Clinton‘s record on guns, McEnany deflected by blaming the media for “being desperate” to make the discussion following the Orlando terrorist attack about guns and not about Islam.
Lemon, reporting from Orlando, snapped: “No the media’s not trying to make this about guns. It’s not, it’s not,” he said.
“Yes, they are!” she responded.
“Kayleigh, it is not trying to make this about guns,” Lemon said. “I am speaking for the family members who I have been sitting down with since Sunday, who are upset. Some are Republicans, some are Democrats, some are independents. All of them say they believe in the Second Amendment. But they’re tired of this partisan bickering […] about the Second Amendment. Donald Trump says at every turn that Hillary Clinton wants to abolish the Second Amendment. And if that is a lie, then we are obligated to point it out. It is not true, and you should not go on national television and say that it’s true when it is not. That is who is making this a partisan thing, bringing it up, it’s Donald Trump, it’s not the media.”
McEnany defended Trump’s position on guns and still demanded to know why there weren’t more segments on cable news talking about Islamic extremism. She said talking about guns “was an injustice to the families.”
“No one is ignoring extremism,” Lemon countered. “Our whole show is about Islamic extremism.”
Co-panelist Maria Cardona said, “This is exactly why we cant have a sensible conversation. Even when confronted with facts, Trump and his supporters ignore them as if they don’t exist.”

The media is running out of people to lie to!
I’m quite hopeful that the era of Trump will result in many, if not most, people telling the media they are wrong. It’s really nice to see the push-back against the totalitarians. There is hope.
The democrats were worried this mass murder by an Islamic terrorist would knock Hillary out of the election. That is why they are playing their filibuster game in Congress and pushing for yet another nonsense law that would not have helped in any way. Liberals want this to be about guns, so that voters will not notice how shockingly incompetent Hillary is to deal with the real problem.
Yeah, their underlying anger is very easily triggered.

Whenever it was contained in its sandbox. No one cares what they do to each other. Once they were kicked out of Europe, they became unimportant on the world stage (with minor flare-ups like the Barbary Pirates and such) until oil was discovered in Arabia. Then WE (the developed world) made them important in world affairs.

Because under 8 years of Trump, the media will deeply consolidate and Lemon will be out of a job. Karma's a bigger bitch than Don could ever dream.

Incompatibilities with internal DNC support factions are their and they want to cover it over with frosting not to denote the cracks that could have either the LGBT community (and or others, Jewish Support comes to mind ) leave the DNC nest before November. The DNC has put Open Boarders / Illegals and the CAIR Crowd to the head of the line and they are now the some animals are more equal than others in their barnyard and if the other factions wake up they may not be so happy as they realize they are getting screwed. We think things are disassembling in the "R" side of the Isle? Oh no no no, I think things are so close to spinning out of control with the factions within the DNC it isn't even funny..

Leave out the "commentators." Reporters should observe and accurately report. Any opinions should be prefaced with a "in my opinion" warning.

I agree. They know it too and that’s why the big push is islamize the USA.
My point is that someone who took a couple of leaf springs out of a delivery truck, straightened them, sharpened them, and attached a hickory hoe handle at one end, could do a tremendous amount of damage in a place where no one is armed. And no permits or government background checks needed.
Actually, we badly need an absence of Hussein. Since he has no regard for the rule of law, establishing new controls short of those imposed by force will be of no use or worth.
The control in use is running out the clock. Hussein is committing as many fouls as possible knowing that there are no referees to throw him off the court.

The fact that the assailants are using “assault weapons” at all shows they are basically working from the media’s script. There are far more effective weapons far more easily available for the purpose of killing large numbers of people in a limited area. I won’t enlighten them on this forum, but anyone actually familiar with firearms can figure it out.
