CNN’s Don Lemon snapped at Trump supporter Kayleigh McEnany for accusing media of shifting focus away from radical Islamic terrorism and toward guns.
After reading McEnany a ruling from PolitiFact, which said Trump had falsely represented Hillary Clinton‘s record on guns, McEnany deflected by blaming the media for “being desperate” to make the discussion following the Orlando terrorist attack about guns and not about Islam.
Lemon, reporting from Orlando, snapped: “No the media’s not trying to make this about guns. It’s not, it’s not,” he said.
“Yes, they are!” she responded.
“Kayleigh, it is not trying to make this about guns,” Lemon said. “I am speaking for the family members who I have been sitting down with since Sunday, who are upset. Some are Republicans, some are Democrats, some are independents. All of them say they believe in the Second Amendment. But they’re tired of this partisan bickering […] about the Second Amendment. Donald Trump says at every turn that Hillary Clinton wants to abolish the Second Amendment. And if that is a lie, then we are obligated to point it out. It is not true, and you should not go on national television and say that it’s true when it is not. That is who is making this a partisan thing, bringing it up, it’s Donald Trump, it’s not the media.”
McEnany defended Trump’s position on guns and still demanded to know why there weren’t more segments on cable news talking about Islamic extremism. She said talking about guns “was an injustice to the families.”
“No one is ignoring extremism,” Lemon countered. “Our whole show is about Islamic extremism.”
Co-panelist Maria Cardona said, “This is exactly why we cant have a sensible conversation. Even when confronted with facts, Trump and his supporters ignore them as if they don’t exist.”

Lemon is so wrong. I've heard very little about this being Islamic extremism. The talk the president gave today was not about Islamic extremism, it was about having to go through these type of things time after time, because of guns. I'm watching CNN now, and it's been almost totally about gun control, whether it's the filibuster by the democrats, an interview with a victim's family talking about the president's discussion about gun laws, how the gunman was able to get guns, Feinstein now making her gun pitch, etc., etc. It's all BS and smoke. As for Lemon using Politifact as if it's the Bible, he is wrong on that also. Politifact is wrong. I've pointed it out before. Hillary has said publicly that she supports an Australian style gun law. She did that at a town hall meeting and/or a debate, and it was televised. The Australian gun law was a confiscation program. When you confiscate guns, you are taking them away. You guys can make all the claims you want, and make as many lies as Trump, but the truth is that she want's to take guns, and the media and the president is making this shooting all about guns.
I was flipping to CNN during commercials and saw this live. They had some congressman on, and Lemon was talking about guns, not terrorism. Also, at the end of his interview he decided to jab the Congressman to change his record on LGBT issues because it isn't good according to Lemon.
The other day I posted about Cooper going after Pam Bondi in an interview due to her opposition to gay marriage.
For the record, the tolerant liberals are attacking Kayleigh and saying horrible things to her on Twitter tonight, not that they haven't done that before tonight. They literally can't stand it that CNN has anyone on there defending Trump. If it were up to them, everyone on CNN, including the people hired to speak for Trump, would attack Trump. If it were up to them, it would be a liberal echo chamber with no opposition.

What I worry about is the stupid electorate. They will eat up the pablum of gun control like programmed machines. The fact is, with all of the gun control measures the Left wants, Omar would have got a semi-automatic weapon to shoot up the Pulse nightclub. When they pass enough gun control to negate the 2nd Amendment, our enemies will be able to get enough guns to turn the rivers red with blood. And, as the terrorism goes wild in the bloodbath, the poor citizens will have nothing to defend themselves.

If so-called "assault weapons", which are simply semi-automatic rifles, were banned, the terrorist killings would continue just the same.
Disarming ourselves would be the height of stupidity and would bring laughter to our enemies. One hundred thirty-nine were killed in Paris. If we were to adopt gun laws like France, we would see the same results.
The killing never stops until a law-abiding person with a gun stops it. When that person is a cop, it is far too late to prevent a massacre.
