The Latest on the shooting at an Orlando nightclub (all times local):
9:45 a.m.
President Barack Obama has been briefed by his homeland security and counterterrorism adviser about the shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando that left about 20 people dead and 42 wounded.
The White House said Sunday, several hours after the incident, that Obama has been briefed and has asked for regular updates as the FBI and other federal officials work with Orlando police on the case.
Press secretary Josh Earnest said in a statement that the president has directed federal officials to provide "any necessary assistance to pursue the investigation and support the community."

Interesting that this man chose a gay nightclub as his target. The real truth is never told but suspect that he was a sexually repressed gay who comes from a culture that will not embrace open homosexuality. His “Islamic State” identification no doubt gave him the justification to strike at his “tormenters”. Suspect that a similar dynamic was occurring with the bizarre Fort Hood shooter, Major Hassan.
Maybe the gay Bath House will actually verbalize “islamic terror” for the first time, after his gay bros’ were massacred.

Fox News just reported that according to their sources the number of people killed may increase dramatically from the 20 currently being reported.
